Position Summary
The Principal shall serve as the Chief Academic and Administrative Officer of City College Jayanagar and shall be responsible for providing strategic leadership, academic excellence, institutional growth, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, student success, and organizational development.
The Principal will lead the institution towards achieving national and international standards of excellence, strengthening NAAC accreditation outcomes, increasing student admissions, enhancing employability, fostering innovation, research, entrepreneurship, global collaborations, and ensuring sustainable institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & Excellence
* Provide strategic direction for all academic programs.
* Ensure high-quality teaching-learning processes.
* Monitor curriculum implementation and academic outcomes.
* Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and outcome-based education.
* Promote interdisciplinary and industry-integrated learning.
* Strengthen academic quality benchmarks and student performance.
2. NAAC, Accreditation & Quality Assurance
* Lead all NAAC accreditation activities.
* Oversee IQAC operations and quality initiatives.
* Ensure documentation and compliance for accreditation bodies.
* Monitor all NAAC criteria and departmental contributions.
* Drive continuous quality improvement across the institution.
* Develop annual quality assurance plans and reports.
3. Admissions & Institutional Growth
* Take ownership of annual admissions targets.
* Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing and Academic Departments.
* Develop strategies for student enrollment growth.
* Monitor inquiry-to-admission conversion performance.
* Strengthen school outreach and counselor engagement.
* Support digital marketing and branding initiatives.
4. Faculty Development & Performance Management
* Recruit, mentor and retain high-quality faculty members.
* Conduct faculty performance reviews.
* Promote professional development and certifications.
* Encourage research, innovation and academic excellence.
* Create leadership opportunities for faculty and staff.
5. Research, Publications & Innovation
* Foster a strong research culture.
* Encourage publications in Scopus, UGC Care and peer-reviewed journals.
* Promote patents, copyrights and intellectual property creation.
* Establish research centers and innovation labs.
* Support faculty and student research initiatives.
6. Student Success & Employability
* Enhance student learning outcomes and satisfaction.
* Strengthen placement and internship opportunities.

* Represent the institution at educational, governmental and industry forums.
* Enhance institutional visibility and reputation.
* Support digital marketing, public relations and outreach activities.
* Develop thought leadership initiatives.
* Build a strong national and international institutional brand.
10. International Relations & Global Partnerships
* Develop international academic collaborations.
* Facilitate student and faculty exchange programs.
* Establish international MOUs and strategic partnerships.
* Promote global learning opportunities and international exposure.
11. Governance & Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure compliance with Bangalore University, UGC, AICTE and Government regulations.
* Monitor statutory requirements and institutional policies.
* Maintain academic integrity and ethical standards.
* Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance documentation.
12. Community Engagement & Social Impact
* Promote environmental sustainability initiatives.
* Lead social responsibility programs.
* Encourage community outreach and extension activities.

Desired Qualifications
* Ph.D. in relevant discipline as per UGC norms.
* Minimum 15 years of academic experience.
* Minimum 5 years in a senior academic leadership role.
* Strong understanding of NAAC, IQAC, accreditation and higher education regulations.
* Proven track record in institutional growth and academic administration.
* Experience in admissions strategy, research development, placements and industry collaborations.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
