Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Academic Mentor (Hosteller) to support students in their academic and personal development. The role involves monitoring student performance, mentoring and motivating students, coordinating with parents, managing hostel-related responsibilities, and ensuring a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Performance Monitoring

Track and monitor student performance through tests, assignments, and assessments.
Analyze academic progress and identify learning gaps.
Conduct regular follow-ups with students requiring additional academic support.
Organize doubt-clearing sessions and implement improvement plans for underperforming students.
Coordinate weekly tests and maintain accurate performance records.
Ensure timely evaluation and reporting of academic activities.

Student Mentorship & Hostel Support

Guide students on study planning, time management, and academic discipline.
Provide motivation, mentoring, and emotional support when required.
Conduct regular hostel rounds to ensure student welfare, safety, and discipline.
Monitor attendance and address absenteeism through appropriate follow-up actions.
Foster a positive and supportive hostel environment conducive to learning.

Parent Communication

Maintain regular communication with parents regarding attendance, academic performance, and student well-being.
Address parent concerns professionally and provide timely updates.
Build strong relationships with students and parents to improve engagement and academic outcomes.

Learning Platform & Administrative Support

Assist students in effectively utilizing learning applications and digital resources.
Monitor participation in both online and offline learning activities.
Maintain accurate student records, feedback logs, attendance reports, and performance data.
Support academic and operational teams in ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.

Fee Collection & Coordination

Follow up on fee payments and communicate payment-related information to parents when required.
Maintain accurate records of fee-related communications and updates in internal systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to mentor and motivate students.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning platforms.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Willingness to work in a hostel-based student support environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in education, student counseling, mentoring, hostel administration, or academic support roles.
Ability to interpret student performance data and recommend improvement strategies.
Strong stakeholder management and parent-handling skills.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 per month
