About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented Business Development & Marketing Associate to support business growth, client outreach, marketing initiatives, partnerships, and revenue-generation activities within the pharma, biotechnology, healthcare, and life-sciences ecosystem.

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, engaging with industry stakeholders, supporting strategic partnerships, and contributing to the promotion of MBC’s scientific programs, conferences, training programs, and other initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Business Development

Identify and generate new business opportunities within the pharma, biotechnology, healthcare, research, and life-sciences sectors.
Conduct market research and identify potential clients, industry partners, sponsors, exhibitors, collaborators, and other relevant stakeholders.
Develop and maintain a database of prospective organizations and key decision-makers.
Conduct outreach through emails, phone calls, LinkedIn, meetings, and other appropriate channels.
Support lead generation, client acquisition, business pitching, and follow-up activities.
Assist in preparing business proposals, presentations, sponsorship packages, partnership proposals, and commercial communications.
Coordinate meetings with prospective clients and support business discussions and presentations.
Maintain regular follow-ups and update the status of leads and business opportunities.
Support revenue generation through sponsorships, partnerships, delegate registrations, exhibitions, training programs, or other assigned business initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, proposals, conversions, and revenue generated.
Prepare periodic business development reports and update the management team on progress and outcomes.

Marketing and Outreach

Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for scientific conferences, workshops, training programs, and organizational initiatives.
Assist in developing marketing content, promotional materials, email campaigns, presentations, and outreach communications.
Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies for campaign execution and promotional activities.
Support digital marketing, social media outreach, email marketing and LinkedIn-based engagement.
Assist in promoting events and programs to relevant industry professionals, organizations, academic institutions, and research groups.
Track campaign performance, engagement, leads, registrations, and other relevant marketing metrics.
Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify industry trends and growth opportunities.
Support branding, visibility, and stakeholder-engagement initiatives.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement

Identify and engage potential industry, academic, scientific, and institutional partners.
Support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships and collaborations.
Coordinate with clients, sponsors, partners, speakers, exhibitors, and other stakeholders, as required.
Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant industry contacts.
Support partnership discussions and follow up on agreed action points.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
Candidates with an MMS/MBA in Marketing and a background in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related fields will be preferred.
3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, B2B sales, marketing, partnerships, client servicing, or industry outreach.

Required Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good presentation, pitching, and negotiation skills.
Ability to conduct market research and identify business opportunities.
Strong client-engagement and relationship-building abilities.
Knowledge of B2B sales, lead generation, and business development processes.
Familiarity with marketing campaigns, digital outreach, and social media platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace.
Ability to prepare presentations, proposals, reports, and professional business communications.
Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
Willingness to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment.
