Position: Accountant
Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

Ourika Estates is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, support statutory compliances, and ensure timely reconciliation and reporting.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Tally/ERP, GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, vendor/customer accounts and MS Excel. Experience in the real estate or construction industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Handle day-to-day accounting entries and maintain books of accounts.
Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal transactions.
Maintain general ledgers and ensure proper accounting classification.
Prepare and verify invoices, vouchers, debit notes and credit notes.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.

2. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation

Prepare regular Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
Reconcile customer, vendor and other party ledgers.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.

3. Vendor & Payment Management

Verify vendor bills, invoices and supporting documents.
Process vendor and contractor payments after obtaining necessary approvals.
Maintain vendor payment schedules and outstanding statements.
Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices and payment-related queries.

4. GST & TDS Compliance

Prepare data and supporting documents for GST returns.
Maintain GST records and assist with input tax credit reconciliation.
Handle TDS deductions, workings, challans and return-related data.
Ensure accounting records are maintained properly for statutory compliance.
Coordinate with consultants/auditors for GST, TDS and taxation requirements.

5. Real Estate / Project Accounting

Maintain project-wise accounting records and expenses.
Track project-related expenses, contractor bills and vendor payments.
Maintain records relating to customer receipts, advances and outstanding payments.
Coordinate with project/site, CRM, purchase and management teams for accounting requirements.
Assist in preparation of project-wise financial reports and MIS.

6. MIS & Reporting

Prepare periodic MIS reports as required by management.
Assist in preparation of Trial Balance, P&L and other financial statements.
Prepare receivable, payable, expense and collection reports.
Provide accurate financial information to management within defined timelines.

7. Audit & Documentation

Maintain proper records and supporting documents for audits.
Coordinate with internal/statutory auditors and consultants.
Provide required schedules, statements and supporting documents during audits.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in Real Estate / Construction will be preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Tally/Tally Prime or ERP accounting software.
Good knowledge of GST, TDS, BRS and basic taxation.
Good command of MS Excel.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidate with prior experience in a real estate developer, construction company or infrastructure organization will be preferred.
Should be able to independently handle routine accounting activities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple accounting activities.
Candidates available to join within a short notice period will be preferred.

Salary: As per industry standards and candidate experience
Reporting To: Accounts/Finance Head

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
