Location: Chennai, India — In Office
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, US Shift (approx. 7:30 PM – 4:30 AM IST) — aligned to US business hours

About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Operations Manager to run and grow the India operations of a US-based property management group, and to act as the owner's right hand.
This is a senior, high-trust role for someone who can be the glue that holds everything together — coordinating across the US field team, the India office, the accountant, vendors, owners, and tenants so that nothing falls through the cracks. In short: you will do what the owner does today — connect all the moving pieces, keep everyone aligned, solve problems before they grow, and bring in new business.
If you are a leader, a go-getter, a natural coordinator, and someone who takes full ownership without being managed, this is a career-defining role with real growth ahead of it.
What You Will Do
The Glue — Coordination & Ownership
- Be the central point that connects every part of the business — US field staff, the India team, the accountant, vendors, owners, and tenants
- Hold all the moving pieces together and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
- Track work end to end and follow up across people and teams until things are done
- Step in wherever needed — fill gaps, solve problems, and keep the whole operation running smoothly
- Essentially run things the way the owner does today
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage the India team; set the standard for quality, speed, and accountability
- Own day-to-day property management operations end to end
- Build and improve systems, checklists, and processes that scale
- Provide daily/weekly updates to the owner on operations and results
Growth & New Business
- Handle inbound property management leads and convert prospective owners into clients
- Build relationships with property owners and drive new business
- Explain our services and value with confidence (training provided)
- Follow up relentlessly — no lead goes cold
Escalations & Relationships
- Own all tenant, owner, and vendor escalations — calmly, professionally, to resolution
- Be the senior point of contact for all owner questions — operational and financial — explaining statements, charges, and numbers clearly (the accounting team maintains the books behind the scenes)
- Keep owners informed, reassured, and retained
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience, with several in a leadership or managerial role
- Bachelor's degree required (any discipline)
- A natural coordinator/integrator — able to hold many moving parts in your head and keep people, tasks, and teams aligned
- Proven ability to lead a team, own outcomes, and work independently without supervision
- Excellent spoken and written English — confident and persuasive on calls with US owners, tenants, and vendors
- A genuine go-getter who brings in business and drives results
- Strong at handling escalations and difficult conversations with composure
- Financially literate — comfortable reading an owner statement, P&L, and basic reports, and able to confidently answer owners' financial questions (you won't keep the books, but you must understand them)
- Comfortable working the US shift (approx. 7:30 PM – 4:30 AM IST), Monday–Friday, in office in Chennai
- Trustworthy and dependable — ready to be the owner's right hand
Preferred
- Experience with US property management, US-based clients, or US real estate
- Experience as a Process Manager / Team Lead / Operations Manager in a US-shift BPO or ITES environment
- Experience in business development, client acquisition, or account management
- Experience managing a remote or offshore team for a US company
- MBA or equivalent leadership background
This Job Is Not For You If
- You wait to be told what to do — this role demands ownership
- You avoid hard conversations or escalations
- You can't juggle many moving parts at once
- You are a follower, not a leader
- You are looking for a junior or short-term role
Compensation & Growth
- Salary based on experience
- Clear path to grow as the operation expands
- The opportunity to become the owner's right hand and a key leader as we grow
Benefits
- Stable, full-time, long-term senior position
- Training and professional development
- Significant growth and leadership opportunity
