About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Accounting Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team and take
responsibility for day-to-day accounting activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting
operations across multiple entities and currencies.
The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and
experience working in multi-currency and multi-entity environments. Experience in fintech,
payments, financial services, or the remittance industry will be highly advantageous.
The role requires someone who can work independently, exercise sound accounting judgment,
investigate discrepancies, and collaborate effectively with Accounting, Treasury, and Operations
teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Reconciliation
Lead the catch up of accounting records for periods that are as yet unrecorded. Work with team
mates and across other teams to ensure c0mplteness and accuracy of the accounting records.
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records across multiple entities and currencies.
Perform bank, payment, and general ledger reconciliations regularly.
Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences and outstanding items.
Prepare and post journal entries and accounting adjustments.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
Review transactions to ensure they are properly recorded and classified in accordance with
applicable accounting principles.
Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and supported by appropriate
documentation.
2. Financial Reporting
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
Support multi-currency financial reporting across multiple entities.
3. Treasury & Operations Coordination
Work closely with the Treasury and Operations teams to reconcile financial and transactional
activities.
Investigate differences between accounting records, bank transactions, settlement records, and
operational data.
Support the reconciliation of client funds, settlements, pay-in/pay-out transactions, and other
payment-related activities, where applicable.
Ensure accounting records accurately reflect underlying business and operational transactions.
Escalate unusual or complex transactions and provide appropriate accounting
recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial and transaction-related issues.
4. Accounting Judgment & Controls
Apply accounting principles and professional judgment when dealing with complex or
incomplete information.
Clearly document the rationale behind significant accounting judgments and recommendations.
Identify potential accounting errors, control weaknesses, and unusual transactions.
Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
5. Process Improvement & Automation
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reduce manual work.
Support the implementation of accounting automation and workflow improvements.
Work with Finance and other teams to improve data quality, reporting, and reconciliation
processes.
Assist with the implementation or optimization of accounting systems and ERP solutions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
3–5 years of post-qualification accounting experience.
Strong experience in bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, accounts receivable
and accounts payable, journal entries, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
Experience working with multi-currency and multi-entity accounting environments.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or a similar ERP/accounting system.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounting theory.
Ability to exercise independent professional judgment and clearly support and defend
accounting conclusions when information is incomplete.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across Accounting, Treasury, Operations, and other teams.
Ability to present financial findings and analysis clearly and professionally.
Ability and willingness to work 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Canada Eastern Time, Monday to Friday.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Experience with accounting automation and process improvement.
Experience with multi-currency financial reporting.
Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
Experience in fintech, payments, remittance, financial services, or money transfer businesses.
Experience with payment processing, settlements, client funds, or Treasury operations.
Experience working with large transactional datasets and performing transaction-level
reconciliations.

Job Posting Summary
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Specialist with 3–5 years of post-qualification
experience to join our Finance & Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
bank and general ledger reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, multi-currency and multi-
entity accounting, financial reporting, and Microsoft Excel. Experience with QuickBooks Online or a
similar ERP system is required. Experience in fintech, payments, or the remittance industry, as well
as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and accounting automation, will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
