Full job description

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an XR developer having a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a combination of technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to create immersive and interactive experiences using Unity/Unreal. They should also be adaptable, as the field of XR is continuously evolving with new hardware and software advancements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Application development:

· Design and develop XR applications using Unity or Unreal and related tools.

· Implement features that enhance user experience and immersion.

· Ensure the application runs smoothly across different XR devices.

2. Coding and Scripting:

· Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

· Use programming languages like C# to implement functionality within Unity or Unreal.

3. Integration of AR/VR Hardware:

· Integrate and optimize applications for various AR and VR hardware platforms, such as Oculus Rift, Microsoft HoloLens etc.

· Utilize Unity and Unreal Engine to create captivating virtual environments and interactive simulations.

4. User Interface (UI) Design:

· Design and implement user interfaces that are intuitive and user-friendly within the AR/VR environment.

· Create interactive elements and menus that enhance the overall user experience.

5. 3D Modelling and Animation:

· Work with 3D artists to integrate 3D models and animations into the AR/VR environment.

· Design and Create 3 D Models based on project requirements

· Optimize assets for performance in real-time rendering.

6. Optimisation:

· Optimise code and assets for performance on various devices to ensure a smooth and immersive experience.

· Implement techniques such as level of detail (LOD) and occlusion culling to enhance performance.

7. Testing and Debugging:

· Conduct thorough testing of AR/VR applications to identify and fix bugs and issues.

· Debug and optimize code for stability and performance.

8. Research and Innovation:

· Stay updated on the latest AR/VR technologies, tools, and industry trends.

· Experiment with new features and techniques to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in AR/VR development.

9. Collaboration and Communication:

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and other developers, to achieve project goals.

· Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

10. Documentation:

· Document code, processes, and project details to facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer.

· Provide clear documentation for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

· Minimum 1 year of professional experience in developing and designing AR/VR projects.

· Proven expertise in creating realistic and interactive virtual environments with a focus on performance optimization.

· Strong programming skills in C#, C++, or other relevant languages used in AR/VR development.

· Knowledge of version control systems and collaborative development workflows.

· Solid understanding of 3D graphics, computer vision, and spatial mapping technologies.

· Experience on multiple tools Vuforia, Unity, Unreal, etc. would be a plus point.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment & independently.
