About the job

ABOUT AVAAN:

Avaan is a 4PL logistics company built to make sending things effortless — from Excess Baggage to Package Delivery, delivered through airport kiosks, physical stores, a website and an app. Avaan reaches 25,000 pin codes and 190 countries, and works with partners including Adani, Taj Hotels, GMR Airports and MakeMyTrip. The company is bootstrapped, built on personal and family capital, with the accountability and speed that comes from that.

WHY THIS ROLE LOOKS DIFFERENT NOW:

Brand work used to mean guidelines, campaigns and quarterly reports. It still does — but the job now also means running paid media directly instead of only briefing an agency, directing AI tools to produce content faster without losing the brand's voice, and reading performance data in real time instead of waiting for a monthly deck. We're rewriting this JD because the old version tested for brand craft alone, not the full range this role actually needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand Strategy & Identity

Own the Avaan brand system end to end — voice, visual identity, tone — and apply it consistently across every service, platform and touchpoint.
Evolve brand guidelines as the company grows, without losing what makes Avaan recognisable.

Performance Marketing & Paid Media

Own performance marketing across Meta Ads, Google Ads and other paid channels — planning, budgets, targeting and creative testing.
Manage spend against ACOS/ROAS targets, and know the difference between what a brand campaign is doing and what a performance campaign is doing to the P&L.
Run full-funnel media — awareness and consideration through brand, acquisition and retention through performance.

AI-Enabled Content Production

Direct AI-assisted workflows for copy, imagery and short-form video — briefing, prompting and editing tools such as generative image/video models and AI writing assistants — while holding a clear, human quality bar.
Know where AI genuinely speeds up production and where it produces generic output that needs a human rewrite; the job is judgment, not just tool operation.

Content & Storytelling

Create content across web, social, WhatsApp and email that sounds like Avaan — clear, warm, no filler.
Champion authentic, founder-led storytelling over staged brand shoots, and build fluency in short-form video.

Marketing Ops, Measurement & Search

Run marketing automation and CRM/lifecycle tools to cut manual work out of campaigns and retention flows.
Track performance across GA4, Search Console and ad platforms; distinguish blended spend from performance spend and report on both accurately.
Own SEO fundamentals and stay fluent in how AI-driven discovery is changing search behaviour, adapting Avaan's content and structure as that shifts.

Campaign Execution & Vendor Management

Plan and execute integrated campaigns end to end, own the budget, and brief external vendors, agencies and freelancers.
Evaluate new marketing platforms and tools on merit, not hype.

Events & Partnerships

Support brand-related events, trade shows and partner activations with Avaan's partner network

SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Branding & Design

Strong grasp of brand systems — visual identity, tone of voice and guideline discipline across every touchpoint.
Design tool literacy (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva Pro) and a sharp eye for what's on-brand versus what isn't.

Performance Marketing

Hands-on experience running and optimising Meta Ads and Google Ads — not just briefing an agency to do it.
Comfortable reading ROAS/ACOS and adjusting spend, targeting and creative based on what the data says.
Understands full-funnel media planning — when to spend on brand and when to spend on performance.

Modern & AI-native

Comfortable directing AI creative tools (image/video generation, copy assistants) with a point of view on when to use them and when not to.
Working knowledge of prompting for on-brand output, and enough data fluency to read GA4/Search Console without help.
Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM platforms.

Foundational

Strong written and verbal communication, with genuine attention to detail on brand guideline compliance.
Solid project management and organizational skills; comfortable running multiple campaigns, budgets and stakeholders at once.
