Location: Kolkata | Hybrid
Employment: Full-time | Part Time

About the Role

We are looking for a smart, creative, highly social-media-savvy Content Creator & Social Media Strategist who can turn ideas, research and trends into engaging content across Instagram, YouTube, Podcasts and other digital platforms.

This is not a conventional social media posting role. We are looking for someone who can think like a creator, research like a journalist, communicate like a presenter and understand content marketing like a strategist.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable both behind the camera and in front of it.

Key Responsibilities1. Content Research & Ideation

Research trending topics, news, conversations, creators and emerging content formats.
Identify content opportunities from Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, Google and other relevant platforms.
Research competitors, influencers and successful content creators.
Convert research into strong content ideas, hooks and storylines.
Develop content calendars and recurring content series.
Stay updated with social media trends, memes, formats, algorithms and creator trends.

2. Instagram Content

Develop concepts for Reels, carousels, stories and static posts.
Write hooks, captions, scripts and CTAs.
Understand what makes content shareable, saveable and comment-worthy.
Identify trending audio, formats and visual styles.
Help build a distinctive content personality for the brand/personality.

3. YouTube

Research and develop YouTube video topics.
Create video outlines and scripts.
Research titles, thumbnails and content angles.
Assist in developing both Shorts and long-form videos.
Understand YouTube retention, CTR, watch time and audience behaviour.
Repurpose long-form videos into Shorts/Reels/other social content.

4. Podcast & Video Content

Research guests and podcast topics.
Prepare interview questions and discussion points.
Assist with podcast planning and episode structure.
Be comfortable hosting, presenting or appearing on camera when required.
Identify strong clips, quotes and moments from podcasts for social media.
Convert one podcast/video into multiple pieces of platform-specific content.

5. Content Production

Write scripts for Reels, Shorts, YouTube videos and podcasts.
Coordinate with designers, video editors and other team members.
Shoot simple mobile-first content when required.
Understand basic framing, lighting, audio and video composition.
Use AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, scripting and content production.

6. Social Media Management

Manage day-to-day content publishing across social platforms.
Maintain content calendars and publishing schedules.
Monitor comments, conversations and audience reactions.
Track content performance and identify what is working.
Continuously experiment with new formats, hooks and content styles.

What We're Looking ForMust Have

Excellent communication skills — both spoken and written English.
Strong understanding of Instagram and YouTube.
Excellent content research ability.
Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills.
Good understanding of social media trends and creator culture.
Ability to write engaging scripts and captions.
Comfortable appearing in videos/reels/podcasts.
Strong curiosity and willingness to learn.
Ability to independently research a topic and develop content around it.
Good understanding of branding and audience psychology.

Highly Preferred

Previous experience as a content creator, social media manager, presenter, influencer or digital media professional.
Personal Instagram/YouTube/content portfolio.
Experience creating Reels/Shorts.
Podcast hosting or interview experience.
Basic video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere Pro or similar.
Familiarity with AI content creation tools.
Understanding of YouTube Analytics and Instagram Insights.
Experience in personal branding or founder-led content.

Compensation

Salary: ₹20,000–₹40,000/month depending on experience and capability.

Exceptional candidates with a strong portfolio, proven content performance or significant creator experience can be considered for a higher package.
