Full job description

We are a growing Canadian company selling mattresses, furniture and home products through our websites and major online marketplaces.

We are looking for a capable and dependable E-Commerce & AI Executive in India to assist with marketplace management, product listings, customer service, social media and content creation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable with technology, communicates well in English and uses AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve the quality and speed of their work.

Relevant experience with one or more e-commerce platforms, combined with the ability to learn, is most important.

Responsibilities

Marketplace Management

Create, update and maintain product listings.
Assist with marketplaces such as Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, Wayfair, Temu and Shopify.
Update titles, descriptions, images, specifications, variations, prices and inventory.
Monitor listings for errors, missing information and unpublished products.
Help create promotions, discounts and marketplace offers.
Assist with launching new products.
Contact marketplace support and follow up until issues are resolved.
Maintain accurate and consistent product information.
Research competing products, prices and marketplace trends.
Prepare basic e-commerce reports using Excel or Google Sheets.

Prior experience with at least one e-commerce marketplace is preferred.

AI and Content Creation

Use ChatGPT, Gemini or similar tools for research and content creation.
Create and improve product titles, descriptions and marketplace content.
Draft customer-service responses and marketing content using AI.
Help create social-media posts, advertisements and product graphics.
Use Canva, AI image tools or similar applications to create and edit visual content.
Use AI to summarize information, compare competitors and complete research.
Check all AI-generated work for accuracy, quality and natural English.
Identify useful AI tools and practical ways to improve everyday workflows.

Social Media

Help manage Facebook, Instagram and other relevant social-media channels.
Create and schedule regular posts.
Write captions and promotional messages.
Create simple graphics, videos or reels using Canva and AI tools.
Monitor comments and messages.
Research competitors, content ideas and social-media trends.
Help develop content that supports brand awareness, website traffic and sales.
Google Ads, Meta Ads, PPC Ads, etc.

Customer Service

Respond to customer inquiries through email and online marketplaces.
Answer product and order-related questions.
Assist with deliveries, returns, cancellations and customer concerns.
Communicate with customers clearly and professionally.
Follow up with marketplaces, delivery providers and internal team members.
Help resolve problems and reduce negative customer experiences.
Maintain records of customer issues and actions taken.

What We Are Looking For

Experience in e-commerce, online retail, marketplace operations or digital marketing.
Familiarity with at least one marketplace, such as Amazon, Walmart or Shopify.
Practical experience using ChatGPT or another AI tool.
Good written and spoken English.
Customer-service experience or the ability to communicate professionally with customers.
Strong computer and online research skills.
Good attention to detail.
Excel or Google Sheets knowledge.
Ability to work independently in a remote position.
Ability to learn unfamiliar platforms and software.
Reliable communication and follow-through.
A genuine interest in e-commerce, social media and AI.

Remote Work Requirements

Reliable computer
Stable high-speed internet
Quiet and professional working environment
Availability during agreed working hours
Regular communication with the Canadian management team
Some scheduled overlap with Canadian business hours when required

The normal schedule and required Canadian time-zone overlap will be discussed before hiring.

Growth Opportunity

This position can grow as the company expands. A strong employee may gradually take responsibility for additional marketplaces, projects and team members.

We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career with the company, and applicants are expected to lead to the position as the Head of Operations position.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹51,000.00 per month
