Role Summary

The Sales Associate will be the face of the Pekko retail store, responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations. The role involves customer engagement, billing, inventory management, product merchandising, packaging, and maintaining premium retail standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy interacting with customers and wish to grow with an emerging premium lifestyle brand.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience

Welcome customers warmly and create a premium in-store shopping experience.
Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
Demonstrate product features, ingredients, benefits, and usage confidently.
Build customer relationships that encourage repeat business.

Billing & Cash Handling

Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately.
Process cash, card, UPI, and other digital payments.
Ensure billing accuracy and maintain daily transaction records.

Inventory Management

Receive, stock, and replenish merchandise.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
Assist in periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
Maintain accurate inventory records.

Store Operations

Prepare customer orders with premium packaging standards.
Maintain visual merchandising and product displays.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and store presentation at all times.
Support opening and closing store procedures.

Customer Service

Handle customer queries professionally and courteously.
Resolve basic customer concerns efficiently.
Promote loyalty programmes, offers, and new product launches.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

Graduate or Undergraduate from any discipline.

Experience

2–3 years of experience in retail sales, lifestyle, beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, hospitality, or premium customer service.
Freshers with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude may also be considered.

Preferred Industry Experience

· Candidates with prior experience in premium beauty, skincare, bath & body, wellness, or luxury retail brands will be highly preferred.

· Experience with Blossom Kochhar, or similar premium beauty and personal care brands, will be considered a significant advantage due to familiarity with premium customer engagement, product consultation, visual merchandising, and luxury retail service standards.

· Candidates from brands such as Blossom Kochhar, Forest Essentials, Kama Ayurveda, The Body Shop, Bath & Body Works, Nykaa Luxe, L'Occitane, Innisfree, or other premium beauty and wellness retailers are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills

Excellent spoken English (mandatory) and Hindi.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Pleasant personality with professional grooming
Customer-centric approach
Basic computer proficiency
Familiarity with POS billing systems (preferred)
Inventory handling skills
Attention to detail
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
