We are seeking a Senior Specialist – Data Governance – Analytics & Critical Tables to design, govern, and optimize critical enterprise structure data, business control tables, and associated analytics across Lonza’s global business landscape.
This role is responsible for ensuring data consistency, completeness, validity, accuracy, uniqueness, and timeliness across enterprise-wide business processes. As a key contributor to the Lonza Data Framework, the role will establish governance standards, manage critical SAP tables and enterprise structures, and drive analytics and reporting strategies that support data quality, compliance, and business performance.
Role Purpose / Summary
The Senior Specialist – Data Governance – Analytics & Critical Tables serves as the single point of responsibility for governance of critical enterprise structure elements, business control tables, and related analytics. The role defines standards, ownership models, governance processes, and lifecycle controls to ensure integrity and consistency across integrated business processes and SAP applications.
Operating globally across all Business Platforms, functions, and sites, this position works closely with business process owners, data owners, IT teams, and external service providers to manage critical enterprise data structures, reporting solutions, dashboards, and governance tools. The role also actively contributes to the continuous evolution of the Lonza Data Framework and enterprise data governance capabilities.

What you'll do
-
Define, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, standards, and processes for critical enterprise structure elements and business control tables.

Manage the lifecycle of critical organizational structures and control tables, including creation, modification, cleansing, and deactivation activities.

Govern and maintain critical SAP tables and enterprise structure elements, including standard SAP and custom business control tables.

Perform impact assessments and evaluate business implications of proposed changes to critical structures and governance-controlled tables.

Define and execute analytics and dashboard strategies for monitoring critical data structures, governance KPIs, and data quality metrics.

Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights for business and governance stakeholders.

Ensure integrity, accuracy, compliance, and consistency of enterprise structure data through governance controls and validation mechanisms.

Manage tools supporting Data Structure Management and coordinate with internal and external IT service providers.

Partner with business stakeholders as a trusted advisor on governance standards, critical table management, analytics, and reporting requirements.

Drive stakeholder engagement and adoption of governance standards through effective communication and change management.

Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for business users and data owners.

Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Lonza Data Framework.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on data quality, reporting capabilities, governance effectiveness, and process standardization.

Execute governance activities aligned with the principles of Define, Embed, Check, and Act to ensure sustainable governance practices across the organization.
What we're looking for

Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Data Management, or a related discipline.

Proven experience in Enterprise Structure Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Business Data Management.

Experience supporting or managing large-scale transformation programs in multinational organizations.

Strong understanding of enterprise structure processes and master data governance principles.

Experience working with SAP environments and enterprise business applications.

Exposure to critical SAP configuration and control tables, master data structures, and governance processes.

Experience in analytics, dashboard development, data quality reporting, and KPI management.

Strong understanding of cross-functional business processes and enterprise data dependencies.

Experience working with data governance frameworks, tools, methodologies, and best practices.
