Job Description — Social Media Manager & Content WriterAbout Chronic Click

Chronic Click is a digital-first creative and marketing company focused on building brands through engaging content, social media, and performance-driven digital marketing.

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager & Content Writer who understands that great social media is more than posting regularly—it’s about having a strong point of view, understanding audiences, creating scroll-stopping content, and turning attention into business results.

What You’ll DoSocial Media Management

Manage day-to-day social media accounts for Chronic Click and its clients.
Plan and maintain monthly content calendars.
Develop platform-specific strategies for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
Schedule and publish posts, reels, stories, carousels, and other content.
Stay updated with social media trends, formats, memes, cultural moments, and platform updates.
Monitor comments, DMs, mentions, and overall community engagement.
Track content performance and identify opportunities for growth.

Content Writing & Copywriting

Write compelling captions, hooks, headlines, scripts, carousel copy, and social media posts.
Develop creative concepts and content ideas that are relevant to each brand.
Write short-form video/Reel scripts with strong hooks and storytelling.
Adapt the same idea into different formats for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Develop brand voices and maintain consistency across platforms.
Write website/blog content when required.
Create content that is informative, entertaining, relatable, and conversion-focused.

Content Strategy

Research the client's industry, audience, competitors, and content landscape.
Develop content pillars and recurring content series.
Identify gaps in competitors' social media strategies.
Build content around awareness, engagement, trust, and conversion.
Use analytics and audience insights to improve future content.
Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, launches, festivals, and topical content.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with graphic designers, video editors, performance marketers, and account managers.
Brief designers and editors clearly on creative requirements.
Coordinate revisions and ensure content is delivered on time.
Participate in client discussions and creative brainstorming sessions when required.

What We’re Looking For

1–3 years of experience in social media management, content writing, copywriting, or digital marketing.
Excellent written English and strong communication skills.
Strong understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn content.
Ability to write short, sharp, engaging copy rather than generic marketing content.
Good understanding of hooks, storytelling, CTAs, and social media psychology.
Strong creative thinking and an instinct for what makes people stop scrolling.
Comfortable researching unfamiliar industries and turning information into interesting content.
Ability to understand different brand personalities and switch between tones.
Strong attention to detail and grammar.
Ability to work on multiple brands/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Bonus Skills

Experience writing Reel/video scripts.
Basic understanding of Canva or other design tools.
Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword research.
Experience with LinkedIn personal branding/founder content.
Experience with social media analytics and reporting.
Understanding of paid social media is a plus.
Experience working at a digital marketing/creative agency is a major plus.

What Success Looks Like

Within the role, you should be able to:

Build and execute a consistent social media calendar.
Generate original content ideas without relying entirely on trends.
Write captions and scripts that sound human, not AI-generated.
Improve engagement, reach, saves, shares, profile visits, and leads.
Maintain a consistent brand voice across every piece of content.
Deliver content on time with minimal supervision.
Understand why a piece of content worked or didn't work and use that learning to improve the next one.

Important: This Is Not Just a Posting Job

We are not looking for someone whose primary skill is scheduling posts.

We want someone who can think:

"What should we say?" → "Why should people care?" → "How should we say it?" → "What format will work best?" → "How do we measure whether it worked?"
