Azure DevOps Engineer

Experience: 6–10 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: India (Hybrid/Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure while enabling seamless CI/CD practices across enterprise applications.

You will play a key role in cloud modernization initiatives, application migrations to Azure, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes deployments, DevSecOps implementation, and continuous platform optimization.

Key ResponsibilitiesCI/CD & DevOps Automation

Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.
Automate application build, test, deployment, and release processes.
Integrate DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, artifact management, and compliance checks.
Manage artifact repositories using JFrog Artifactory.
Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline software delivery.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep.
Build reusable, modular, and secure cloud infrastructure templates.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure resources.

Cloud Migration & Modernization

Lead migration of enterprise applications from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure.
Re-architect legacy applications into cloud-native solutions.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, availability, security, and performance.
Support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

Azure Cloud Engineering

Manage and optimize Azure services including:

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Azure Functions
Azure API Management (APIM)
Azure Service Bus
Azure SQL Database
Azure Monitor
Azure Storage
Azure Key Vault
Azure Virtual Machines

Azure Networking

Design and implement secure Azure networking solutions including:

Virtual Networks (VNet)
VNet Peering
Private Endpoints
Azure Firewall
Load Balancers
Hybrid Connectivity
VPN Gateway
ExpressRoute
Network Security Groups (NSGs)
DNS and Secure Routing

Containers & Kubernetes

Containerize applications using Docker.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads on AKS.
Optimize container orchestration for scalability, resilience, and performance.
Implement rolling deployments, auto-scaling, and high availability.

Automation & Scripting

Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Automate operational tasks, deployments, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
Improve operational efficiency through scripting and automation.

Monitoring & Incident Management

Implement proactive monitoring using:

Dynatrace
Datadog
Splunk
Azure Monitor

Responsibilities include:

Performance monitoring

Root cause analysis
Incident resolution
System health optimization

Database Support

Support Azure SQL Database and MongoDB environments.
Monitor database performance, security, backup, and recovery.
Ensure high availability and data integrity.

Collaboration

Work closely with Software Developers, QA Engineers, Architects, Security teams, and IT Operations.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning.
Drive DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging cloud and DevOps technologies.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
6–10 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise.
Hands-on experience implementing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep.
Experience with Azure cloud services and Kubernetes.
Expertise in Azure networking, cloud security, and hybrid connectivity.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience with cloud migration and modernization projects.
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and security best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400)
Kubernetes Certification (CKA/CKAD)
Terraform Associate Certification
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience working in enterprise cloud environments
