Full job description

Job Summary:

This role assists the Internal Audit Head to ensure that the organization has in place a sound system of Internal control with adequate established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Helps in performing audits as per Risked Based Internal Audit Plan and IFC testing.

Make the necessary recommendations for improvement, rectification of weaknesses and highlight financial leakages. Help in implanting use of AI tools for doing audit.

Principal Accountability:

§ Draft annual audit plan / audit universe.

§ Ensure the completion of all risk based planned audits within the time as per annual audit plan approved.

§ Help team in determining internal audit scope of the audit assigned.

§ Supervise team in conducting operational/other business process audits to assess the soundness, adequacy, compliance, and cost effectiveness of the operational, financial, and information systems' controls.

§ Ensure Risk control matrix is developed for the process to be audited, and test procedures are based on the same.

§ Implement and enhance audit methodologies to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in conducting audit assignments and reviews.

§ Ensure audit documentation within accepted departmental standards.

§ Communicate control deficiencies to stakeholders.

§ Review audit reports and discussion first level with the HOD’s.

§ Ensure timely closure of open audit issues and key business initiatives.

§ Assist the Head of Internal Audit with reporting obligations to the Audit Committees and other key stakeholders.

§ Coordinate and work with the external auditors whenever required.

§ Planning, execution and reporting of annual IFC activity.

§ Quality review of work performed by IA team members to help enhance the quality of IA deliverables.

Undertake other ad hoc audit activities as suggested by IA Head / Management.

1.S SKIL LS AND KNOWLEDGE

Strong written and verbal communications skills, including listening and interviewing skills. Should have the ability to interact with stakeholders.

Perform special assignments as directed by the audit head and provide support to special projects requested by local management when necessary.

Follow & demonstrate proficiency in the performance of risk-based analytics of the business finances and operations; and understanding of data sources that drive the analytics.

Critical thinking skills and ability to work in fast paced environment

Sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Salesforce etc.

a) Qualifications

Must be an experienced Chartered Accountant.

a) Work Experience

§ 7+ years experienced Chartered Accountant in Internal Audit and Internal Financial Control (IFC) preferably in BFSI sector.

§ Exposure in Risk Based Internal Audit, Internal Financial controls, Audit tools and Statutory Compliances etc.
