Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to generate constrained engineering and production plan, material plan, and Work-In-Progress (WIP) inventory rationalization, including Sales in Excess (SIE) of invoicing to improve service levels. Each day, you will assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating constrained engineering (for Engineered-To-Order businesses) and production plan, use rough-cut and detailed capacity planning, and link it to the demand plan. You will also showcase your expertise by optimizing working capital.

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Power – Critical Power- UPS Business to be based at NELAMANGALA, BANGALORE, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Manage complete import and export logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient material flow.
Maintain inventory parameters in SAP ERP using ABC/XYZ analysis, while monitoring purchase order backlogs and expediting with suppliers.
Implement best practices in logistics, stores operations, and inventory management to minimize late backlogs and address root causes.
Prepare and share regular planning and fulfilment reports with business leaders, ensuring consistent and adequate material supply for production.
Achievement of targets: SOTD, Lead Time, DIH and Inventory Turn Ratio

Qualifications for the role:

Required Diploma / BE with the experience of 10 – 14 Years, from UPS or Electrical Equipment manufacturing industries.
Collaborative professional with an engaged, cooperative approach, willing to share knowledge and discover new solutions.
Goal-oriented with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
Effective written and verbal communication capabilities, along with an openness to listening and integrating innovative ideas.
Knowledge in logistics handling of imports and exports.
Experience in material planning with skills in S&OP, purchasing, and inventory management.
Demonstrates a positive and engaged attitude while proposing solutions when risks/opportunities arise.
Experience in the switchgear and electrical industry for MCBs, wiring accessories, and DBs
