About Art of Puja
Art of Puja is a growing D2C spiritual lifestyle and gifting brand reimagining how modern India experiences traditions.
Our work spans thoughtfully designed spiritual essentials, fragrances, festive collections, gifting and lifestyle products. As we grow across our website, marketplaces, quick commerce, retail and corporate gifting, design sits at the centre of how customers experience our brand.
We’re looking for a Design Intern who wants to work beyond just social media posts and gain hands-on experience across three major areas of brand design:
Packaging. Video. UI/UX.
This internship is designed as a potential pathway into a full-time Design Associate role for someone who demonstrates strong design thinking, execution, ownership and speed.
What You’ll Own 1. Packaging Design – Core Responsibility
Packaging will be one of the biggest parts of this role.
You’ll work closely with the team on new product launches and existing product ranges, taking packaging from the initial idea to the final production file.
You will:
- Create packaging concepts and visual directions for new products
- Work on KDs, dielines and packaging layouts
- Convert approved concepts into final print-ready artworks
- Design boxes, cartons, labels, sleeves, inserts, gift packaging and other formats
- Adapt packaging across different SKUs, sizes and variants
- Create packaging mock-ups for internal and vendor reviews
- Understand printing specifications, bleed, dimensions and production requirements
- Work on materials, finishes, foiling, embossing, Spot UV and other packaging treatments
- Make artwork corrections based on printer/vendor requirements
- Ensure packaging remains consistent with the overall Art of Puja brand identity
The objective is for you to understand the complete journey:
Brief → Concept → KD/Dieline → Artwork → Sampling → Production
2. Video Editing & Performance Creatives
We create a significant amount of content for Instagram, advertising and our D2C channels.
You’ll help turn raw footage, product shoots and ideas into engaging short-form content.
You will:
- Edit Instagram Reels and short-form videos
- Create videos for Meta Ads and performance marketing
- Edit UGC-style product videos
- Turn raw product footage into engaging advertisements
- Create strong hooks within the first few seconds of videos
- Add captions, transitions, music, sound effects and motion graphics
- Create multiple creative variations for performance testing
- Edit product demonstrations, festive campaigns and storytelling videos
- Resize and adapt videos across different platforms
- Work closely with the marketing and social media teams on creative concepts
We aren't looking only for aesthetic videos.
You should gradually learn to think about:
Hook → Story → Product → CTA → Conversion
3. Website UI/UX
You’ll also help us improve how the Art of Puja brand translates digitally.
Using Figma, you'll work on different areas of our D2C website including:
- Homepage designs
- Product Detail Pages
- Collection / PLP pages
- Landing pages
- Campaign pages
- Website banners
- Navigation and customer journeys
- Mobile-first website layouts
- New sections and website features
You’ll help us think about both:
“Does this look good?”
and
“Is this easy for the customer to understand and use?”
You'll work with the internal team/developers to translate designs into live website experiences.
Other Things You'll Get to Design
Since we're a growing consumer brand, no two weeks will necessarily look the same.
Depending on ongoing projects, you may also work on:
- Brand campaigns
- Social media creatives
- Meta/static advertisements
- Marketplace creatives
- Amazon/A+ content
- Corporate gifting catalogues
- Product launch creatives
- Exhibition/event branding
- Offline marketing material
- Product inserts and cards
- Presentations
- Festive campaigns
- Photoshoot references and art direction
- New visual identities and brand initiatives
Who Are We Looking For?
You could be a design student, recent graduate or someone early in their design career.
More than years of experience, we're looking for strong visual taste and the ability to execute.
You should:
- Have strong graphic-design fundamentals
- Understand typography, composition, hierarchy and layouts
- Have a good eye for contemporary consumer-brand design
- Be comfortable experimenting and taking feedback
- Be detail-oriented, especially while working on packaging artworks
- Be able to manage multiple creative requirements
- Take ownership rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions
- Be comfortable working in a fast-moving D2C/startup environment
- Be curious about how design impacts both brand and business
Tools You Should KnowMust Have
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Figma
- Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro / equivalent video-editing software
Great to Have
- Adobe After Effects
- Motion Graphics
- Packaging mock-up tools
- Canva
- AI creative tools
- Basic Shopify understanding
- Photography / Art Direction
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio is mandatory.
We would especially love to see projects involving:
- Packaging
- Branding
- Video editing / Reels
- Website or UI/UX design
- Consumer/D2C brands
College projects, freelance projects and self-initiated design concepts are completely welcome if they demonstrate strong thinking and execution.
What You'll Get
This isn't an internship where you'll only resize social-media posts.
You'll get hands-on exposure to how design works inside a growing consumer brand — from creating a packaging artwork that eventually gets manufactured, to editing an ad that goes live on Meta, to designing an experience that customers interact with on our website.
You'll get exposure across:
Packaging Design × Brand Design × Video Editing × Performance Marketing × UI/UX × D2C
You'll work on real products and campaigns that go live in the market.
Internship → Full-Time Opportunity
We're hiring this role with a long-term intent.
Candidates who demonstrate strong performance, creativity, ownership, speed and alignment with the brand during the internship will be considered for a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) to join Art of Puja full-time as a:
Design Associate
The full-time role will continue to build deeper ownership across Packaging, Video and Digital/UI Design.
Ideal For Someone Who Thinks:
“I don't want to be limited to just graphic design. I want to learn how an entire consumer brand gets designed.”
If that's you, we'd love to see what you've created.
