About the Role
We are looking for a technically skilled and analytical FEA / CAE Analysis & Design Engineer to join our Engineering team.
The candidate will be responsible for 3D CAD modelling, engineering design, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), simulation, design validation, and optimization of components, assemblies, and engineering systems.
The role will primarily involve working with Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE and CATIA for product development, design, simulation, collaboration, and engineering documentation.
The candidate will work closely with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to develop safe, reliable, optimized, and manufacturable products for industrial, automotive, aerospace, defence, and other engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities1. CAD Design & Product Development
- Create and modify 3D components, assemblies, and engineering models using CATIA.
- Develop detailed product designs based on customer requirements, engineering specifications, and design inputs.
- Prepare engineering drawings and manufacturing-ready design data.
- Perform design modifications based on analysis results and engineering requirements.
- Support concept development, design iterations, and product improvement activities.
- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and testing.
- Maintain proper revision control and engineering documentation.
2. FEA / CAE Analysis
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for components, assemblies, and structures.
- Set up simulation models using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
- Perform appropriate pre-processing, including:
- Geometry preparation
- Simplification of CAD models
- Meshing
- Material definition
- Boundary conditions
- Loads and constraints
- Contact definitions
- Conduct analysis such as:
- Static Structural Analysis
- Stress & Deformation Analysis
- Modal Analysis
- Dynamic Analysis
- Thermal Analysis
- Fatigue Analysis
- Buckling Analysis
- Vibration Analysis
- Evaluate simulation results and identify critical areas such as high stress, deformation, displacement, failure risks, and performance limitations.
- Perform mesh quality checks and mesh convergence studies wherever required.
- Compare simulation results with theoretical calculations, design requirements, and experimental/test data.
3. Design Optimization
- Recommend design improvements based on FEA results.
- Optimize components for strength, stiffness, weight, durability, and manufacturability.
- Perform design iterations to achieve required performance and safety factors.
- Identify opportunities for lightweighting and material optimization.
- Support value engineering and cost-effective product development.
4. 3DEXPERIENCE & CATIA Workflow
- Work within the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE environment for engineering and product development activities.
- Use CATIA for 3D modelling, assembly design, design modifications, and engineering documentation.
- Manage engineering data, models, revisions, and project information within the 3DEXPERIENCE environment.
- Maintain proper product structure and design data.
- Collaborate with engineering teams through the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
- Follow defined engineering workflows and data-management procedures.
5. Engineering Documentation
- Prepare detailed FEA/CAE analysis reports.

6. Cross-Functional Engineering Support
- Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Production, Quality, and Project teams.
- Provide technical inputs during product development and design reviews.
- Support prototype development, testing, and design validation.
- Correlate FEA results with physical testing wherever applicable.
- Assist in troubleshooting design and performance-related issues.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers, vendors, and engineering partners.

- Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE simulation/analysis applications is preferred.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Knowledge of fatigue and durability analysis.
- Knowledge of thermal and vibration analysis.
- Understanding of design optimization and lightweight structures.
- Experience in reverse engineering and scan-to-CAD workflows is an advantage.
- Exposure to 3D scanning, point-cloud processing, and CAD reconstruction is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, forging, and welding is preferred.
- Experience with automotive, aerospace, defence, heavy engineering, or industrial products will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and quality systems is desirable.
Education & ExperienceQualification
Mandatory:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace / Production / Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.
Preferred:
- M.E./M.Tech in Engineering Design, CAD/CAM, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related specialization.
Experience
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in FEA, CAE, mechanical design, or product development.
- Fresh graduates with strong practical knowledge of FEA, CATIA, and 3DEXPERIENCE may also be considered based on technical competency.
