Full job description

We are a growing US-based international fashion eCommerce company looking for an experienced Conversion Tracking & Marketing Attribution Specialist.

Our business uses multiple marketing channels, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, Email Marketing, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Social Media, and other traffic sources.

We are looking for a specialist who can help us answer one critical question:

Where are our sales and conversions actually coming from?

We need someone who can audit, improve, and maintain our tracking infrastructure so we can accurately understand which channels, campaigns, and customer touchpoints are contributing to orders and revenue.

Mandatory Industry Experience

Hands-on experience working with an international clothing, fashion, apparel, or fashion eCommerce brand is mandatory.

You should have experience working with a Shopify-based eCommerce business selling to international markets, ideally including the USA, UK, Canada, Europe, or similar markets.

Please apply only if you have worked with real eCommerce transactions, revenue tracking, and multi-channel marketing attribution.

What You Will Do
Track Where Sales Are Coming From

You will analyze and validate conversions coming from channels such as:

Google Ads
Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
Email Marketing / Klaviyo
Organic Search / SEO
Affiliate Marketing
Direct Traffic
Referral Websites
Social Media
Other Paid Marketing Channels

Your goal is to help us understand:

Which channel generated the customer
Which campaign contributed to the sale
How revenue is being attributed
Whether conversion data is accurate
Where tracking information may be missing or duplicated

Key Responsibilities

Audit and manage Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
Set up, review, and troubleshoot Google Tag Manager (GTM).
Review Shopify purchase and revenue tracking.
Audit Google Ads conversion tracking.
Audit Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (CAPI).
Review UTM parameters, source/medium, campaigns, and traffic attribution.
Identify missing, duplicated, or incorrectly tracked conversions.
Investigate discrepancies between Shopify, GA4, Google Ads, Meta, and other marketing platforms.
Validate order IDs, transaction values, revenue, and purchase events.
Identify where tracking or attribution data is being lost.
Support browser-side and server-side tracking implementations.
Ensure tracking continues to work correctly after website, Shopify, or app changes.
Build clear reports or dashboards to help management understand marketing performance and revenue sources.
Work with our marketing and development teams to resolve tracking-related issues.

Example of the Type of Problem You Will Solve

For example:

Shopify reports $100,000 in revenue.

However:

GA4 reports $82,000
Google Ads reports $45,000 in conversion value
Meta reports $38,000 in purchase value

These numbers are not expected to match exactly because platforms use different attribution models and measurement methods.

However, we need someone who can investigate:

Is revenue missing from GA4?
Are conversions being duplicated?
Are purchase events firing correctly?
Are UTMs being lost?
Is source/medium attribution correct?
Are browser and server events properly deduplicated?
Is Shopify sending accurate transaction and revenue data?

You should be comfortable identifying the root cause, explaining the issue clearly, and recommending or implementing the solution.

Required Skills

We are looking for someone with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in conversion tracking, marketing analytics, digital measurement, or attribution.

Strong experience is required in:

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Shopify Analytics & Conversion Tracking
Google Ads Conversion Tracking
Meta Pixel
Meta Conversions API (CAPI)
UTM Tracking
Source/Medium Analysis
Marketing Attribution
Revenue & Purchase Tracking
Conversion Troubleshooting

You should also understand:

Customer journeys
First-click and last-click attribution
Cross-channel attribution
Duplicate event detection
Missing conversion diagnosis
Cookies and browser tracking limitations
Cross-domain tracking
Consent and privacy-related tracking

Marketing Click → Website Visit → Traffic Source → Campaign → Product Interaction → Checkout → Purchase → Revenue → Attribution

You should be able to independently audit our existing setup and tell us:

What is working?
What is not working?
Where are we losing tracking data?
Where are conversions being duplicated?
Which channels are contributing to revenue?
How can our tracking and reporting be improved?
