Roofglow Solar Private Limited is a solar EPC company based in Chennai, delivering end-to-end residential and commercial rooftop solar solutions — from site assessment and system design to installation, documentation, and subsidy support — across Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, and Chengalpattu districts of Tamil Nadu.

Senior Solar Consultant

Department: B2C Field Sales

Employment Type: Full-time, field sales, 6-day work week

Location: Chennai (covering Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur & Chengalpattu)

Role Overview

We are hiring a high-performing Senior Solar Consultant to convert qualified homeowner leads into signed, executed EPC contracts. You'll conduct home visits, assess technical site suitability, present customized proposals, explain payback/ROI clearly, and close the deal — owning the full sales cycle from qualified appointment to signature.

Key Responsibilities

Consultative Pitching & Closing

Visit homeowner residences based on qualified appointments from the Inside Sales Executive; conduct technical consultations and close EPC contracts on-site wherever possible.
Build long-term relationships with homeowners to establish trust and credibility — happy customers refer the next one.

Site Assessment & Feasibility

Assess roof layout, shading, and electricity usage patterns to recommend the right system capacity (kW); check customer eligibility for GOI subsidies, loans, etc.

Financial Analysis

Present ROI calculations, payback timelines, and PM-Surya Ghar subsidy benefits clearly to prospective buyers.

Sales Closure

Prepare and present a customized proposal and pricing tier matched to the customer's budget.
Recommend relevant upgrades or add-ons (e.g. battery storage) where genuinely useful to the customer — not a hard upsell, but an informed option.
Handle objections, negotiate, and close the sale on-site wherever possible.

Pipeline Management & Handoff

Maintain daily follow-ups with open leads; update visit records, deal stages, and customer details in the CRM.
Complete primary technical documentation at point of sale and hand off the file to the Admin, Finance & Operations Executive.
For leads not converted on the first visit but genuinely promising, transfer back to the Inside Sales Executive with clear notes.
Be present on installation day for quality oversight and customer relationship purposes (not for the full duration).

Team Coordination

Support the Content & Digital Marketing Executive's local promotional events and site content when your schedule allows.
Participate in regular pipeline reviews with the Managing Director.

Key Requirements

Education: Degree (Bachelor's/Master's) in Engineering (EEE, ECE, E&I), Renewable Energy, or a relevant field. Diploma holders (EEE) possessing substantial practical experience will also be considered.

Experience: 1–2 years in high-value B2C field sales (Solar EPC); prior solar experience is an advantage.

Language: Fluent in Tamil and English — mandatory. Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Technical

Proficiency with CRM mobile apps, Google Workspace, and basic site-assessment tools
System sizing and load calculation; working knowledge of solar panels, inverters, and net-metering

Behavioral

Strong closing and persuasion ability with excellent in-person manners
Customer-centric, consultative approach — able to explain technical concepts in simple terms
Resilience and follow-through with leads that don't convert immediately

Other Requirements

Valid two-wheeler driving license mandatory
Willingness to travel extensively across the coverage area, including at least 4 site visits per day

What We Offer

Base salary ₹25,000/month, including throughout the 3-month probation period
₹1,500 per project you close
EPF & health insurance, per company policy; paid leave per company policy
