Job Title: Purchase Manager

Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: In Person / Office
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month
Additional Benefits: Performance Bonus + Incentives

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field preferred.
Candidates with relevant purchasing, procurement, retail, FMCG, grocery, or supply-chain experience may also be considered.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or a related field preferred.
Experience in FMCG, grocery, retail, supermarket, or e-commerce purchasing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Manage the company's day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors.
Source products based on company requirements, demand, quality, and pricing.
Negotiate product prices, payment terms, discounts, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.
Compare quotations from multiple suppliers and select suitable vendors.
Create and manage purchase orders.
Monitor purchase orders from placement through delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding availability, pricing, quality, and delivery.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new vendor relationships.
Track product purchase prices and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs.
Coordinate with inventory, warehouse, sales, and operations teams to understand product requirements.
Monitor stock levels and support timely replenishment.
Analyse product demand and purchasing requirements.
Ensure products are purchased according to approved specifications and quality standards.
Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, quantities, rates, and applicable taxes.
Maintain accurate purchase records and supplier information.
Monitor pending purchases, delayed deliveries, shortages, and discrepancies.
Handle supplier complaints and resolve purchasing-related issues.
Maintain product, supplier, purchase price, MRP, GST, and HSN information accurately.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing reports.
Support management in developing purchasing strategies and cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure purchasing activities follow company policies and approval procedures.
