REQUIRED SKILLS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Accounting & Financial Management

Supervise day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.

Maintain proper books of accounts, ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation.

Review sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

Ensure timely monthly and year-end closing of accounts.

Monitor branch-wise and department-wise financial performance.

Maintain proper control over cash, bank, receivables, payables, and other financial assets.

Review and approve accounting entries within authorized limits.

B. Accounts Receivable & Debtors Management

Monitor all B2B customer outstanding balances and credit limits.

Prepare and review customer aging reports on a regular basis.

Closely monitor overdue accounts and follow up with responsible sales/branch teams.

Establish effective collection targets and monitor collection performance.

Review customer credit terms and recommend appropriate credit limits.

Ensure customer statements are issued and acknowledged regularly.

Escalate long-outstanding and high-risk accounts to management.

Monitor bad debts, provisions, and recovery status.

C. Accounts Payable & Supplier Management

Monitor supplier outstanding balances and payment schedules.

Verify supplier invoices against purchase documents and approvals.

Ensure payments are made according to agreed credit terms and management priorities.

Maintain proper supplier statements and reconciliation.

Identify opportunities for better payment planning and supplier negotiations.

D. Cash & Bank Management

Monitor daily cash balances and bank positions.

Review cash collections, deposits, withdrawals, and payments.

Perform regular bank reconciliations.

Prepare cash-flow forecasts.

Ensure sufficient funds are available for operational requirements.

Monitor petty cash and branch cash controls.

Investigate and resolve cash or bank discrepancies.

E. Inventory & Working Capital Control

Coordinate with operations and management to monitor inventory value.

Review stock aging, slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.

Monitor high-value and high-SKU inventory.

Analyze inventory turnover and working-capital utilization.

Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams for stock reconciliation.

Ensure proper accounting treatment for stock adjustments, damages, shortages, and write-offs.

Support management initiatives for inventory optimization and working-capital improvement.

F. Financial Reporting & MIS

Prepare accurate and timely:

Daily sales and collection reports

Daily cash and bank position

Weekly collection and receivables reports

Debtors aging reports

Branch-wise profitability reports

Monthly Profit & Loss Statement

Balance Sheet

Cash Flow Statement

Accounts Payable and Receivable reports

Inventory valuation and aging reports

Expense analysis

Budget vs. actual reports

Gross profit and margin analysis

Management MIS reports

Provide management with financial insights, variances, risks, and recommended corrective actions.

G. Budgeting & Cost Control

Prepare annual budgets in coordination with management and department heads.

Monitor actual performance against approved budgets.

Analyze significant variances and recommend corrective measures.

Monitor operating expenses and identify unnecessary costs.

Review branch and department profitability.

Support management in improving gross profit and overall profitability.

H. Tax, Audit & Compliance

Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, banks, consultants, and other financial institutions.

Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for audits.

Ensure timely completion of audit requirements.

Support VAT and other applicable statutory compliance requirements.

Maintain proper documentation for regulatory and audit purposes.

I. Internal Controls & Risk Management

Establish and monitor financial controls across branches and departments.

Ensure proper authorization for purchases, expenses, payments, discounts, credit sales, and credit notes.

Identify financial risks and control weaknesses.

Conduct periodic reconciliations and control reviews.

Prevent unauthorized transactions, revenue leakage, and financial irregularities.

Ensure segregation of duties wherever applicable.

J. Team Management

Supervise and guide accountants, cashiers, MIS staff, and other finance team members.

Allocate daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities.

Review team performance and accuracy.

Train staff on accounting procedures, reporting standards, and internal controls.

Establish clear reporting deadlines and accountability.

Conduct periodic performance reviews.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

Performance will be evaluated based on:

Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.

Debtors collection and reduction of overdue receivables.

Improvement in cash-flow position.

Control of operating expenses.

Accuracy of bank, cash, customer, and supplier reconciliations.

Inventory and working-capital control.

Reduction of financial discrepancies and errors.

Timely completion of monthly closing.

Budget vs. actual performance.

Branch-wise profitability monitoring.

Audit and compliance performance.

Effectiveness of internal financial controls.

Team productivity and reporting discipline.

Support provided to management for profitability improvement.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
