JOB DESCRIPTION – SITE SUPERVISOR

Job Title: Site Supervisor
Job Location: As per project/site requirements

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Site Supervisor to supervise Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Civil Works, and maintenance activities at telecom sites assigned under the Indus Towers project.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising field staff, ensuring timely execution of maintenance and civil work, monitoring site infrastructure, coordinating with technicians and contractors, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day site operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & Operations

Supervise day-to-day operations, maintenance, and site activities at assigned telecom sites.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections.
Ensure proper functioning and upkeep of site infrastructure.
Monitor assigned work and ensure timely completion.
Identify site-related issues and report them to the concerned manager.

2. Civil Work Supervision

Supervise civil maintenance and repair work at telecom tower sites.
Monitor civil works such as plastering, painting, waterproofing, flooring, drainage, and minor construction work.
Supervise repair and maintenance of boundary walls, site rooms, foundations, and other civil infrastructure.
Ensure proper execution of tower foundation and related civil works, wherever required.
Check the quality of materials and workmanship at the site.
Ensure civil work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Coordinate with civil contractors, labour, and vendors.
Measure and verify completed work before submission for approval.
Ensure proper housekeeping and debris removal after completion of work.

3. Team & Labour Management

Supervise technicians, civil workers, contractors, and field staff.
Allocate and monitor daily work activities.
Ensure manpower is properly deployed at the assigned sites.
Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and work quality.
Provide necessary guidance and support to the field team.

4. Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Monitor equipment faults and coordinate for timely rectification.
Follow up with technicians and concerned teams for closure of issues.
Ensure maintenance and repair activities are completed within defined timelines.

5. Equipment & Infrastructure Monitoring

Monitor the condition and functioning of telecom site infrastructure.
Coordinate maintenance of DG Sets, Battery Banks, Electrical Panels, AC Units, and other equipment.
Monitor the overall condition of site buildings and civil infrastructure.
Identify damages, leakages, cracks, structural issues, or other maintenance requirements.
Report abnormal conditions to the concerned authority and ensure timely corrective action.

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all field staff, labour, and contractors follow safety procedures and SOPs.
Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Monitor electrical safety, civil work safety, and work-at-height safety.
Ensure safe working practices at all project sites.
Report unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective action.
Ensure work is carried out as per company and client safety requirements.

7. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with Indus Towers representatives and project stakeholders as required.
Coordinate with technicians, civil contractors, vendors, and other service teams.
Follow up for timely completion of assigned work.
Maintain professional communication with site owners and other stakeholders where required.

8. Quality Control

Monitor the quality of maintenance and civil work.
Ensure work is completed as per approved specifications and standards.
Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
Verify completed work before submission for approval.
Ensure proper use and handling of materials at the site.

9. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare and submit daily work and site visit reports.
Maintain records of maintenance and civil work activities.
Maintain site photographs and work completion records.
Track pending work and ensure timely closure.
Submit progress reports and updates to the reporting manager.
Maintain accurate documentation as per company and project requirements.

Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Candidates with relevant experience in Civil Work, Telecom Infrastructure, Site Supervision, or Maintenance will be preferred.

Experience

Preferred Experience: 0–52years

Required Skills

Knowledge of civil construction and maintenance work.
Ability to supervise labour and contractors.
Knowledge of site measurements and quality checks.
Basic understanding of telecom infrastructure.
Knowledge of electrical and civil safety procedures.
Strong team supervision and coordination skills.
Ability to travel and work at different project sites.

Salary

Salary: Negotiable / As per experience and company norms.
