Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Assistant to the Head of Sales & Marketing to support the management of domestic and international sales, customer coordination, business development and marketing activities.

The role will involve working closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing and coordinating with customers, distributors, export clients, production, purchase, accounts, logistics and management to ensure smooth execution of business activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

Assist the Head of Sales & Marketing in managing domestic and international sales activities.
Coordinate with existing customers, distributors, dealers, importers and international clients.
Follow up on new enquiries, quotations, samples, orders and repeat business.
Maintain regular follow-ups with customers and ensure timely responses to their requirements.
Prepare and share quotations, price lists, product details and commercial proposals.
Maintain a structured database of leads, customers, enquiries and sales opportunities.
Track enquiries from initial contact through sampling, negotiation, order confirmation and dispatch.
Assist in identifying new customers and potential markets in India and overseas.
Coordinate with the sales team on monthly/quarterly sales targets and follow-ups.

International Sales & Export Coordination

Assist in coordinating with international customers, distributors and importers.
Prepare export-related commercial documents and coordinate with the relevant internal teams.
Follow up on samples, purchase orders, production status, shipping schedules and dispatches.
Coordinate with logistics/freight forwarders for shipment-related requirements.
Maintain records of international enquiries, quotations, orders and shipments.
Assist in preparing information required for export documentation and customer communication.

Customer & Order Coordination

Act as a coordination point between customers and internal departments.
Follow up with Production, Purchase, Quality, Accounts and Logistics to ensure orders are executed on time.
Track order status and proactively communicate delays or changes to customers.
Coordinate product samples, artwork approvals, packaging requirements and product development discussions.
Maintain proper records of customer specifications, pricing and commercial terms.

Marketing Support

Assist in planning and executing domestic and international marketing activities.
Coordinate with designers/agencies for product presentations, brochures, catalogues, social media content and marketing materials.
Support new product launches and prepare product information for customers and sales teams.
Assist in market research, competitor analysis and identifying new product opportunities.
Help maintain and update the company's website, product catalogue and digital marketing materials where required.
Coordinate participation in trade fairs, exhibitions and business events.

MIS & Reporting

Prepare regular sales reports, enquiry reports, order status reports and customer follow-up reports.
Maintain sales and customer data in Excel/CRM/ERP.
Track outstanding quotations and pending customer responses.
Assist the Head of Sales & Marketing in preparing sales forecasts and management reports.
Monitor customer-wise and product-wise sales performance.

Candidate Profile

Graduate in BBA, B.Com, MBA Marketing or equivalent.
2–5 years of experience in FMCG sales, business development, exports or sales coordination.
Experience in the food, beverage, tea, coffee or related FMCG industry will be preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Comfortable communicating with customers over email, phone and online meetings.
Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities simultaneously.
Should be proactive, organised, detail-oriented and commercially aware.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, exhibitions and business development activities.

Pay: ₹12,416.63 - ₹43,275.04 per month
