Manager – Marketing Operations & Business Support

Job Title: Manager – Marketing Operations & Business Support
Department: Business Operations / Marketing
Location: Kottayam, Kerala (Reporting to Corporate Headquarters – Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the Role

The Manager – Marketing Operations & Business Support will be responsible for leading multiple cross-functional teams that collectively support the company's sales, marketing, customer service, and business growth initiatives.

This is a strategic and operational leadership role requiring a strong combination of people management, process improvement, project coordination, data-driven decision-making, and execution excellence.

The Manager will oversee the following functions:

Product Videography & Photography
Video Editing & Creative Production
Tele Sales
Data Research & Market Intelligence
Service Technicians
Documentation & Process Management
Office Administration Support

The ideal candidate should be capable of managing people from different functional backgrounds while ensuring all departments work towards common organizational objectives.

Purpose of the Position

To ensure every support function within marketing and operations performs efficiently by establishing systems, monitoring KPIs, improving productivity, and driving continuous improvements that contribute directly to business growth.

Major Roles & Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & People Management

Lead and mentor multiple teams by: Setting departmental goals, Assigning daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, Monitoring work quality, Reviewing employee performance, Conducting one-on-one meetings, Coaching team members, Resolving conflicts, Motivating employees, Identifying training needs, Creating succession plans, Conducting performance appraisals, Ensuring high employee engagement.

2. Creative Team Management

Manage the: Product Videography Team, Photography Team, Editing Team

Responsibilities include: Approving content plans, Reviewing photography quality, Reviewing product videos, Ensuring brand consistency, Planning product shoots, Coordinating with product development, Coordinating with production, Coordinating with marketing campaigns, Managing equipment utilization, Ensuring timely delivery of creative assets.

3. Tele Sales Team Management

Oversee the complete tele sales process that includes: Lead allocation, Daily calling targets, Lead follow-up, CRM monitoring, Conversion tracking, Performance reviews, Script improvements, Customer handling quality, Call monitoring, Coaching low performers, Improving conversion ratios, Preparing daily MIS reports.

4. Data Research & Market Intelligence

Lead the Market Research team responsible for gathering business intelligence.

Research includes: Product Research, New products, Product innovations, Emerging technologies, Pricing trends, Competitor Research, Competitor products, Product pricing, Marketing strategies, Dealer network, Promotional campaigns, Product strengths, Weaknesses, Customer reviews, Market Research, Industry trends, Demand forecasting, Customer expectations, New business opportunities, Government policies, Renewable energy trends, Agricultural machinery trends, Lead Generation Research, Generate quality databases on Dealers, Distributors, Retailers, OEMs, Corporate customers, Institutions, Government departments, Farmers Producer Organizations, NGOs, Export opportunities, Maintain a structured database with verified information.

5. Service Team Management

Supervise field service technicians.

Responsibilities include: Service scheduling, Customer complaint tracking, Installation planning, Preventive maintenance planning, Warranty tracking, Service reports, Spare part coordination, Customer satisfaction, Resolution timelines, Technical documentation, Ensure technicians Maintain service quality, Follow SOPs, Complete documentation, Submit daily reports.

6. Documentation Management

Oversee all documentation activities.

Responsible for: SOP preparation, Product manuals, Installation manuals, User guides, Training documents, Company presentations, Marketing documents, Proposal templates, Customer documents, Technical reports, Internal process documentation, ISO documentation (if applicable), Maintain version control and document accuracy.

7. Office Administration Coordination

Guide the Office Assistant regarding: Visitor management, Courier management, Office supplies, Filing, Stationery, Asset registers, Meeting arrangements, Travel bookings, Record maintenance, Administrative support.

8. Project Coordination

Coordinate between: Marketing, Sales, Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, HR

9. Business Process Improvement

Continuously improve: Workflow, Productivity, Reporting systems, Automation, Documentation, Customer experience, Internal communication, Quality standards, Recommend new tools and technologies.

10. Reporting & MIS

Prepare and present: Daily reports, Weekly reports, Monthly MIS, Performance dashboards, Sales reports, Marketing reports, Lead reports, Service reports, Productivity reports, Budget utilization reports, Team performance reports, Present insights to the CEO with actionable recommendations.

11. Compliance & Quality

Ensure compliance with: Company policies, Documentation standards, Branding guidelines, Customer service standards, Safety procedures, Confidentiality requirements, Data privacy regulations

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Business Administration / Marketing / Engineering / Operations Management / Commerce / Management

Preferred: MBA in Marketing, Operations, or General Management.

Experience

Minimum: 6–10 years of experience in Operations, Marketing, Business Development, or Team Management.

Preferred experience in: Manufacturing industry, Startups, Marketing operations, Customer service, Sales management, Multi-functional team management
