Content Strategist

Location: NIBM, Pune
Work Mode: Work From Office
Industry: Digital Marketing / Hospitality

About the Role

We are looking for a Content Strategist to join our digital marketing agency in NIBM, Pune.

The role is ideal for someone who can think beyond individual posts and build strong content narratives for brands. You should have a natural flair for ideas, storytelling, writing, and understanding what makes content engaging on social media.

A majority of our clients are from the hospitality industry, including restaurants, cafés, hotels, nightlife, food & beverage, travel, and lifestyle brands. The ability to understand different brand personalities and translate them into relevant and engaging content will be an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Develop content strategies and content pillars for multiple client brands.
Understand each client's brand identity, positioning, target audience, objectives, and tone of voice.
Develop creative concepts and content ideas for social media, campaigns, launches, events, and promotions.
Plan monthly and weekly content calendars based on brand objectives and relevant trends.
Write and oversee social media captions, campaign copy, scripts, reels concepts, story ideas, headlines, taglines, and other brand communication.
Develop strong storytelling approaches for hospitality and lifestyle brands.
Conceptualise Reels, carousels, static posts, stories, campaigns, and other social-first content formats.
Work closely with the social media, design, video, photography, performance marketing, and account management teams to bring content ideas to life.
Create detailed content briefs for designers, videographers, photographers, and other creative teams.
Coordinate with clients for content requirements, approvals, feedback, and revisions.
Participate in client meetings and present content ideas and campaign concepts when required.
Ensure that the final content stays true to the brand's voice, communication style, and strategy.
Research industry trends, competitors, audience behaviour, pop culture, and social media trends to identify new content opportunities.
Identify opportunities to create timely, topical, culturally relevant, and trend-led content.
Develop content concepts around festivals, events, offers, launches, special occasions, and key business moments.
Work with the team to plan and execute photoshoots, video shoots, influencer content, campaigns, and other content requirements.
Review and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, grammar, and brand alignment.
Analyse content performance and use insights to improve future content strategies.
Manage multiple brands and projects while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, social media, copywriting, or digital marketing.
Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
Strong creative thinking and ability to generate fresh, relevant content ideas.
Good understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram.
Ability to understand different brand personalities and adapt writing styles accordingly.
Strong understanding of content strategy, content pillars, brand voice, and storytelling.
Good knowledge of current social media trends, formats, and digital culture.
Strong communication and client coordination skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with creative and marketing teams.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines.
A proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership of projects from ideation to execution.

Hospitality Experience — An Advantage

Experience working with restaurants, cafés, hotels, resorts, bars, nightlife, food & beverage, travel, lifestyle, or luxury brands will be an added advantage.

You should ideally have an understanding of how to make hospitality brands feel desirable, experiential, relatable, and shareable through content.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is curious, creative, culturally aware, and obsessed with good content.

You should be able to look at a brand and answer:

“What should this brand say, how should it say it, and why would people care?”

You will be responsible for turning those answers into strong content ideas, compelling narratives, and executable creative briefs.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable brainstorming a campaign concept, writing a great caption, developing a Reel script, presenting an idea to a client, and working with the creative team to get it executed.
