Chief Executive Officer – Business Growth & Operations Bengaluru | Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) / Food & Beverage / Retail

Position: Chief Executive Officer – Business Growth & Operations
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Reporting To: Chairman
Industry: Quick Service Restaurant / Food & Beverage / Retail

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to lead the overall business of a growing QSR / Restaurant Chain and drive its next phase of profitable expansion.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned business leader with a strong track record in P&L ownership, multi-outlet operations, business expansion, operational excellence, customer experience and organizational transformation.

The CEO will have end-to-end responsibility for the business, including revenue, EBITDA/P&L, outlet expansion, operations, customer experience, people, supply chain, procurement, brand, technology and organizational capability.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chairman to translate strategic priorities into disciplined, measurable execution and build the business into a profitable, scalable and professionally managed restaurant chain.

Key Responsibilities1. Business & P&L Leadership

Own the complete business P&L and balance growth with profitability.
Drive revenue growth, outlet sales, EBITDA and cash generation.
Improve store-level economics, contribution margins and overall business profitability.
Establish annual business plans, budgets, targets and measurable KPIs.

2. Expansion & Business Scale

Develop and execute the 2–4 year growth strategy.
Identify new markets, locations and appropriate restaurant formats.
Lead new outlet openings from site selection through launch.
Develop scalable company-owned, franchise and other expansion models where appropriate.
Ensure new outlets achieve targeted unit economics within defined timelines.

3. Operations Excellence

Ensure consistent food quality, service, speed and customer experience across all outlets.
Establish and continuously improve SOPs, audit mechanisms and operational dashboards.
Drive improvements in food cost, labour cost, wastage, inventory and productivity.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and statutory compliance.
Build a robust central kitchen and supply-chain model wherever applicable.

4. Brand & Customer Experience

Own the brand positioning and overall customer proposition.
Partner with Marketing to improve customer traffic, frequency and retention.
Monitor customer ratings, complaints, satisfaction scores and digital reviews.
Drive menu innovation and pricing strategy.
Strengthen the economics of delivery, takeaway and dine-in channels.

5. Digital & Technology

Leverage technology to improve ordering, CRM, loyalty and customer retention.
Use POS systems, analytics and dashboards for real-time outlet performance management.
Optimise food aggregator economics.
Develop direct digital channels wherever commercially viable.

6. People & Organization

Build a strong second line of leadership and succession pipeline.
Develop an effective hierarchy of Area Managers and Outlet Managers.
Create a culture of high accountability, operational discipline and customer focus.
Build organizational capability to support rapid and sustainable growth.

7. Supply Chain & Procurement

Build a reliable, scalable and cost-efficient supply chain.
Develop strategic vendor partnerships.
Ensure availability and consistency of critical ingredients.
Reduce procurement costs, wastage and inventory losses.
Establish appropriate cold-chain, quality control and traceability systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a high-calibre business leader with:

20–25 years of total professional experience.
At least 10–12 years in senior leadership roles within QSR, restaurant chains, food retail, hospitality or another high-volume consumer business.
Proven experience managing a multi-outlet QSR or restaurant business.
Demonstrated ownership of a significant P&L.
A strong track record of scaling outlets, revenue and profitability.
Experience in new outlet openings and market expansion.
Strong understanding of outlet-level unit economics.
Experience managing large frontline teams.
Strong exposure to supply chain, procurement and food-cost management.
Strong commercial, financial and analytical orientation.
Ability to work closely with the Chairman and convert strategy into effective execution.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with any of the following will have an added advantage:

Experience managing 50+ outlets, or a smaller network that has demonstrated rapid and profitable growth.
Experience scaling a regional brand across multiple locations.
Exposure to franchise operations.
Experience working with institutional or private-equity-backed businesses.
MBA/PGDM from a reputed institution is desirable, but exceptional QSR experience will be given equal consideration.
