HR & Administration Manager – Mining Operations

Location: Mine Site, Pandhurna District, Madhya Pradesh
Compensation: ₹18–24 LPA (CTC)
Reporting To: Operations Director / Senior Management
Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (with flexibility to respond to operational exigencies)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR & Administration Manager to lead the human resources and administrative functions at a mining site in Pandhurna, Madhya Pradesh.

This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth site administration, statutory compliance, workforce management, employee welfare, and operational support. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong industrial HR experience who can maintain discipline, ensure compliance, and support uninterrupted mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for company employees and contract labour.
Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance, including PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, and other applicable labour laws.
Maintain all statutory registers, records, and documentation.
Keep abreast of changes in labour legislation and implement compliance requirements.
Coordinate with labour contractors to ensure full statutory adherence.

Site Administration

Oversee all site administrative activities to support uninterrupted operations.
Manage site security and ensure the safety of personnel and company assets.
Supervise transportation, vehicle movement, and logistics within the mine site.
Monitor administrative budgets and implement effective cost-control measures.
Resolve day-to-day operational issues promptly to minimize disruption to production.

Employee Relations

Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters in a fair and professional manner.
Conduct workplace investigations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Foster a disciplined, productive, and positive work environment.
Support employee engagement and effective communication across the workforce.

Facility & Welfare Management

Oversee the maintenance and administration of on-site bachelor accommodation.
Supervise mess/canteen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service.
Ensure housekeeping, sanitation, and welfare facilities are maintained effectively.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for facility management.

Candidate Profile

Experience

8–15 years of experience in HR and Administration, preferably in Mining, Manufacturing, Metals, Cement, Infrastructure, or other industrial sectors.
Proven experience managing industrial workforces, including contract labour.

Skills & Knowledge

Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
Experience in payroll administration, labour contractor management, and employee relations.
Knowledge of industrial administration, facility management, and security operations.

Leadership Attributes

Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Firm yet approachable leadership style with the ability to maintain discipline and build effective working relationships.
Hands-on problem solver capable of managing operations in a dynamic industrial environment.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

Working Conditions

Full-time, on-site position based at the mine site in Pandhurna District, Madhya Pradesh.
Standard working hours are 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Flexibility is expected to manage operational requirements outside regular working hours when necessary.
Company-provided bachelor accommodation and meals are available at the mine site. Alternatively, candidates may choose to reside in Sausar (approximately 15 minutes away) at their own expense.

Compensation & Benefits

CTC: ₹18–24 LPA, based on experience and qualifications.
