Reynaers Aluminium was established in 1965 in Belgium and specialises in the development and marketing of aluminium systems for outside constructions (windows, doors, sliding systems, conservatories, curtain walls and sun louver).

We develop, market and distribute aluminium systems for new-build and renovation projects worldwide.

Expanding our business activities in and around India we are looking for

Operations Manager

Location: Navi Mumbai, India
Industry: Aluminium Building Systems

Reporting Structure

The Operations Manager will report directly to the Director – India, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Global Purchasing Organization (HQ – Belgium).

Job Purpose

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end operations, including local and import purchasing, inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, supplier management, quality control, and internal sales support. The role will ensure operational efficiency, cost optimization, service excellence, and alignment with global standards. The position will be supported by a dedicated operations team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operations & Supply Chain Management

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and internal sales activities.
Establish, implement, and continuously improve internal operational procedures, systems, and controls.
Ensure compliance with company policies, global standards, and local regulations.

Purchasing & Supplier Management (Local & Imports)

Manage and develop a robust local supplier base for aluminium extrusions, accessories, gaskets, surface treatments, and related components.
Identify and onboard new suppliers to support growth, innovation, and risk mitigation.
Drive supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, service levels, and KPIs.
Work closely with the Global Purchasing Team to align sourcing strategies, negotiate terms, and implement global initiatives.
Coordinate import sourcing, including documentation, lead times, customs clearance, and cost optimization.

Logistics & Warehousing

Develop and implement an effective logistics strategy for domestic and international movements.
Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Oversee warehousing operations, including inventory control, stock accuracy, space optimization, and material handling.
Continuously improve logistics performance, lead times, and service reliability.

Quality Control

Ensure quality standards are maintained across sourcing, inbound materials, storage, and dispatch.
Implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

Internal Sales & Customer Coordination

Support internal sales operations by ensuring material availability, order fulfillment, and delivery commitments.
Act as a key point of contact for operational communication with customers in India and abroad.
Monitor customer service levels and drive continuous improvement in delivery performance and responsiveness.

Cross-Functional & Global Coordination

Coordinate closely with internal departments (Sales, Finance, Technical, and Management).
Maintain effective communication with HQ and related departments in Belgium.
Provide regular operational reporting, analysis, and improvement proposals to management.

Team Leadership

Lead, guide, and develop the operations team.
Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and ensure skill development within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Graduate or Engineer (preferably in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields).
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting tools.

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics management.
Prior experience in windows & doors, aluminium systems, building materials, or construction-related industries is highly preferred.
Experience in the aluminium industry will be a strong advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of supply chain, purchasing, logistics, and warehousing operations.
Commercial mindset with focus on cost optimization and service excellence.
Excellent coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a matrix organization with local and global stakeholders.
Strong analytical and process-improvement orientation.

Languages

Fluent in English and Hindi (spoken and written).

Travel & Location

The position is based in Navi Mumbai.
Willingness to travel within India and internationally as per business requirements.
