Full job description

Role Overview

Valeur Fabtex Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Business Development Associate with strong knowledge of the Skill Development & Training industry and hands-on experience in B2G (Business-to-Government) business.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities with Government Departments, Government Institutions, PSUs, Corporations, Skill Development Missions, Education & Training Bodies, and other institutional clients.

The ideal candidate should understand the complete government business cycle, including lead generation, tender opportunities, client coordination, proposal submission, follow-ups, negotiations, order conversion, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new B2G business opportunities in the Skill Development and Training sector.
Build and maintain relationships with Government Departments, Ministries, State Government bodies, PSUs, Skill Development Missions, Government Institutions, and other relevant organizations.
Identify upcoming government tenders, RFPs, EOI, RFQs, empanelment opportunities, and skill development projects.
Study tender/RFP requirements and coordinate internally for eligibility, documentation, technical proposals, and commercial submissions.
Develop business opportunities related to skill development, vocational training, employability, placement-linked training, workforce development, education, and government training programs.
Coordinate with internal teams for preparation of EOI, RFP, tender documents, technical proposals, commercial proposals, presentations, and other required documentation.
Maintain regular communication and follow-ups with government officials, institutional clients, and project stakeholders.
Attend pre-bid meetings, client meetings, government meetings, presentations, and business discussions as required.
Track tender results, negotiations, clarifications, work orders, agreements, and project requirements.
Develop and maintain a strong government business pipeline and regularly update management on potential opportunities.
Conduct market research to identify new government schemes, projects, departments, and business opportunities in the skill development sector.
Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure smooth execution after order/project confirmation.
Support the management in developing strategies for new government accounts, territories, schemes, and institutional partnerships.
Maintain proper records of leads, tenders, proposals, meetings, opportunities, conversions, and revenue.
Achieve assigned B2G business development and revenue targets.

Industry Knowledge Required

The candidate should have good working knowledge of:

Skill Development & Vocational Training Industry
Government-funded training and employment programs
Government skill development schemes and projects
Training & placement programs
Government procurement and tendering process
B2G business development
EOI, RFP, RFQ and tender processes
Government department/vendor/empanelment processes
Institutional and government client relationship management
Proposal and tender documentation
Project/order conversion and execution coordination

B2G Experience – Mandatory

Minimum 5+ years of experience in B2G / Government Business Development preferred.
Experience of working with Government Departments, State Government Bodies, PSUs, Government Institutions, Skill Development Missions, or similar organizations.
Should have a proven understanding of the government tender and business acquisition process.
Candidates who have successfully handled government projects/orders from lead generation to closure will be preferred.

Target-oriented and commercially focused approach.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualification

Graduate/MBA/PGDM in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Public Administration, or a relevant field preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

B2G leads and opportunities generated.
Number and value of government tenders/RFPs identified.
Tender/proposal participation and conversion rate.
New government accounts/projects acquired.
Revenue generated from B2G business.
Client meetings and government stakeholder engagement.
Government project/order conversion.
Business pipeline development.
Client relationship and retention.
Timely submission and follow-up of proposals/tenders.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates from Skill Development, Vocational Training, Education, Staffing, Government Projects, Training & Placement, or Government Contracting backgrounds will be preferred.

B2G experience is highly preferred, and candidates having existing knowledge/network of government departments and skill development projects will be given preference.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
