Full job description

The Executive Director – Human Resources is a key leadership position responsible for developing and leading the company's overall people strategy across its U.S. and India operations.

This executive will work directly with senior leadership to build a strong, scalable, and performance-driven organization. The role will oversee HR strategy, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, HR policies, organizational development, compliance, and culture across both countries.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both U.S. and Indian HR environments and the ability to manage HR operations across different teams, locations, and business functions.

Key Leadership Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Leadership

Develop and lead the company's overall HR strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Serve as a strategic HR advisor to the executive leadership team.
Build scalable HR systems and processes to support company growth.
Provide leadership on organizational structure, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
Lead and mentor the HR leadership and management team.

U.S. & India HR Operations

Oversee HR operations for employees across the U.S. and India.
Ensure HR policies and practices are appropriate for each country's employment environment.
Guide management on employee relations, workplace issues, performance concerns, and disciplinary matters.
Partner with external HR, payroll, benefits, and legal advisors when required.
Ensure appropriate HR documentation and employee records are maintained.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Develop and lead recruitment strategies for corporate, management, restaurant, and operational positions.
Build strong talent pipelines for current and future business requirements.
Establish effective hiring and onboarding processes.
Work with business leaders to identify workforce requirements and staffing plans
Performance & Organizational Development
Establish company-wide performance management and KPI systems.
Partner with managers to improve employee performance and accountability.
Develop leadership development, training, and career-growth programs.
Identify organizational development opportunities and recommend solutions.
Build a culture focused on performance, teamwork, accountability, and growth.
Employee Relations & Culture
Provide leadership on complex employee relations matters.
Establish effective processes for handling grievances, workplace concerns, and disciplinary actions.
Develop employee engagement and retention strategies.
Promote a professional and positive workplace culture.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters.

HR Policies & Compliance

Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Ensure HR practices comply with applicable U.S. federal/state and Indian employment requirements.
Review employee handbooks, workplace policies, leave, attendance, compensation, and benefits programs.
Identify HR risks and work with leadership to address them.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Analytics

Partner with leadership on compensation structures and employee benefits.
Monitor compensation competitiveness and internal equity.
Develop HR dashboards and management reports.
Track key metrics including headcount, turnover, hiring, retention, attendance, and employee performance.
Use HR data to support strategic business decisions.

Key Leadership Expectations

The Executive Director will be expected to:

Act as a trusted advisor to senior management.
Build a strong and accountable HR organization.
Create consistent HR processes across U.S. and India operations.
Develop future leaders and strengthen the company's talent pipeline.
Identify people-related risks and opportunities before they impact the business.
Support rapid business growth and organizational expansion.
Balance employee needs with business objectives.
Drive a professional, high-performance company culture.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
10–15+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant leadership experience.
Strong hands-on experience in U.S. Human Resources and Indian Human Resources.
Experience working directly with senior executives and business leaders.
Experience managing HR teams across multiple locations.
Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, HR policies, and compliance.
Experience in hospitality, restaurants, QSR, or other multi-location businesses is a strong advantage.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
