Full job description

Om Kothari Institute is looking for an experienced and technically capable Computer Operator & Website Development/Upgradation Executive to manage day-to-day computer-based administrative work as well as maintain, update, and improve the institute's website.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling college office work, documentation, data management, website content updates, PHP/CMS/ERP, and basic web development and technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Computer & College Office Work

Perform daily computer-based administrative and documentation work.
Prepare letters, notices, reports, circulars, forms, certificates, and other college documents.
Maintain student, staff, departmental, and institutional records digitally.
Enter, update, and manage data in Excel, Word, Google Sheets, and other office software.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and official documents.
Scan, print, photocopy, organize, and maintain digital documents.
Handle email communication and official online correspondence.
Upload and manage documents, notices, photographs, results, events, and other college information.
Provide computer-related support to different departments of the college.
Maintain proper digital filing and data organization.
Conduct engaging and practical classes on Digital Marketing and Web Development.

Eligibility & Qualifications

B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT OR
Diploma / Certification in Digital Marketing, Web Development, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant industry or teaching/training experience preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of Digital Marketing and Web Development.
Good communication, presentation, mentoring, and classroom-management skills.
Candidates with proven experience in handling live websites, SEO campaigns, social media marketing, Google Ads, or web development projects will be preferred.

Preferred Skills

Prepare lesson plans, presentations, practical assignments, projects, and learning materials.
Teach students the fundamentals of digital marketing, website development, online branding, and digital business promotion.
Provide hands-on training using commonly used digital marketing and web development tools.
Train students in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), including on-page and off-page SEO fundamentals.
Teach Social Media Marketing (SMM) and social media content strategies.
Train students in Google Ads, online advertising, campaign planning, and performance measurement.
Teach content marketing, email marketing, online reputation management, and lead generation.
Introduce students to Google Analytics / website analytics and digital marketing performance metrics.
Train students in WordPress, HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, website structure, hosting, domains, and basic website maintenance.
Guide students in creating and managing professional websites and landing pages.
Teach students how to optimize websites for search engines, user experience, speed, and conversions.
Conduct practical projects involving SEO, websites, social media, content creation, and digital campaigns.
Mentor students in developing portfolios and practical projects that can support their future employment or freelance careers.
Keep course content updated according to current digital marketing trends, tools, algorithms, and industry practices.
Evaluate students through assignments, practical examinations, projects, presentations, and assessments.
Encourage students to participate in workshops, seminars, competitions, live projects, and industry-oriented activities.
Maintain student attendance, academic records, project records, and performance reports.
Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate digital marketing and technology with business and management education.
Perform other academic and training responsibilities assigned by the institute management.

Regularly update and maintain the institute website.
Add and edit website pages, notices, announcements, events, courses, faculty information, photographs, and other content.
Manage PHP/CMS/JS/Sql and other language or the relevant website administration system.
Improve website layout, content presentation, navigation, and user experience.
Perform basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web development tasks.
Identify and resolve basic website errors and technical issues.
Coordinate with external website developers/technical vendors when required.
Ensure website information remains accurate, updated, professional, and mobile-friendly.
Assist in improving the institute's online presence and digital communication.

Required Skills

Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and general computer operations.
Good knowledge of website Create and Upgradation.
Working knowledge of Php,HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Basic understanding of website hosting, domains, databases, backups, and troubleshooting will be an advantage.
Good typing and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience working in an educational institution/college/university will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate

We are looking for someone who can independently handle both:

College Computer Operations + Website Management & Upgradation

The candidate should be proactive, responsible, and capable of identifying areas where the institute's digital systems and website can be improved.

Education

Bachelor's degree / Diploma / relevant technical qualification in Computer Applications, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
