Responsibilities
You will play a key role in improving the manufacturing processes for wind turbine blades via the quality of the documentation. If you do not have a deep knolled withing Blades manufacturing principles you will have a high motivation to get it – go to shopfloor. You will have a clear focus on modern documentation principles and technologies, support standardization to ensure fast updates or creation of documentation to shopfloor all to secure process stability and capability to improve overall business performance; Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC).
Your main responsibilities:
- Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor (workers, quality and process teams) within Finish & Paint operations.
- Updated documentation is always available on the shop floor.
- Adhere to the documentation principles described.
- Being an engaged part in getting feedback from shop floors and Finish & Paint team on the function / quality of the documentation delivered
- Create systems and structures for ensuring that the documentation contains the agreed information E.G. control point, tolerances, action if a control point is out of spec, PEE and alike information.
- Perform in internal quality check of the documentation.
- Perform internal maturity check of the documentation up against our documented criteria described.
- Keep stakeholder up to date on documentation lead time.
- Create Process Roadmap for improvements
- Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation packed.
- Collaborate closely with the documentation specialist from the other documentation teams and share lessons learned.
- Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
- You will have a clear focus on modern documentation systems and material including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems
- Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams.
- Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean and Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.
Education:
- Bachelor engineering or alike
- GB Six Sigma or alike
- Courses within Technical writing or communication.
- About 10 years of experience in similar roles as described above
- Create process flow
- Establish and maintain work instructions paper or digital
- Validation of own work
- Know Control plans
- Worked in a data driven organization.
- Supported optimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolbox also mentioned above.
Competencies
- Good writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information.
- Technical knowledge: Especially important for shop floor documentation, which may involve machinery, production processes, or software systems. But also ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language
- Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance
- You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to identify and solve production issues.
- Use Kaizen methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
- You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
- You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
