About MOFIA:

MOFIA is Chennai's fast-growing pre-owned and refurbished mobile phone brand. We operate retail outlets in Ekkatuthangal and T Nagar, and we're now building a dedicated marketing team to take MOFIA's brand to the next level. This is not a support role - you'll be a founding member of MOFIA's marketing function, shaping how the brand looks, sounds, and feels across every platform.

The Role:

This is not a typical video editor position. We're looking for someone who thinks like a marketer and executes like a filmmaker. You won't just edit what someone tells you to - you'll decide what stories MOFIA should tell, how to tell them, and then produce them end to end. If you see yourself as just an editor, this isn't the right fit. If you see yourself as someone who builds brands through content, keep reading.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop MOFIA's content strategy — what to say, who to say it to, and where to say it
Shoot and edit Instagram Reels, product showcase videos, customer testimonials, brand stories, and promotional ads
Bring a strong storytelling perspective — every piece of content should have a point of view, not just look good
Plan content independently — from concept and shot list to final delivery
Create high-quality short-form and long-form video content optimized for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp
Build and maintain MOFIA's visual identity and brand voice across all platforms
Stay on top of content trends, competitor activity, and audience behavior
Work with natural and studio lighting to shoot product videos at our store and warehouse
Edit with professional pacing, transitions, color grading, text overlays, and sound design
Manage the content calendar and deliver on schedule without daily hand-holding
Build a core team of Marketers

Who Should Apply:

1–3 years of experience in content creation, video production, or brand marketing (agency, brand, freelance, or creator background)
Strong storytelling instinct — you understand why a piece of content works, not just how to make it look good
You think like a marketer, not just an editor — you care about what the audience feels, not just what they see
Strong portfolio or Instagram page showing your work — we'll ask to see it
Proficient in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve (CapCut-only editors will not be considered)
Comfortable handling a camera — smartphone shooting is fine, DSLR/mirrorless experience is a bonus
Eye for composition, color, and pacing
Can work independently without constant direction
Familiarity with Instagram trends, Reels formats, and short-form content strategy
Based in Chennai and comfortable working from our head office
