About the Role

6DegreesIT Pvt Ltd is looking for a creative and experienced Freelance Social Media Manager & Content Creator to independently manage the complete social media presence of one of our client brands.

We are seeking someone who can take ownership of the client’s social media ecosystem from strategy to execution, creating content that is visually appealing, brand-aligned, engaging, and growth-oriented.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience handling business accounts across multiple social media platforms and should be capable of planning, designing, publishing, and managing content with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Planning

Develop monthly content calendars aligned with brand goals.

Create platform-specific content strategies.

Research trends, competitors, and industry best practices.

Plan campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth.

Identify opportunities to improve content performance and audience reach.

Content Creation & Design

Design high-quality static posts, carousels, stories, and reels.

Create visually appealing and aesthetically consistent content.

Write engaging captions, hooks, and calls-to-action.

Ensure all content reflects the brand’s voice, identity, and positioning.

Stay updated with current design, content, and social media trends.

Platform Management

Manage and maintain the brand’s presence across:

Instagram

Facebook

YouTube

Other relevant platforms as required

Community Management

Monitor comments, messages, and audience interactions.

Maintain a positive and engaging brand presence online.

Encourage audience engagement through interactive content and storytelling.

Performance & Growth

Track engagement metrics and content performance.

Suggest improvements based on analytics and insights.

Implement strategies to increase reach, engagement, and follower growth over time.

Prepare monthly performance summaries and recommendations.

AI Tools & Digital Innovation

Actively leverage AI tools to improve content quality, creativity, efficiency, and performance.

Use AI-powered platforms for content ideation, copywriting assistance, design support, video editing, trend analysis, and workflow automation.

Stay updated with emerging AI tools and social media trends to bring innovative ideas and strategies to the brand.

Ability to combine AI-generated outputs with human creativity to produce authentic, engaging, and brand-aligned content.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

1-3 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands.

Proven experience creating and managing content across multiple social media platforms.

Strong graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools.

Ability to create engaging short-form video content and reels.

Understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and audience behavior.

Strong copywriting and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with lifestyle, fashion, luxury, beauty, retail, consumer, or e-commerce brands.

Understanding of brand building and visual storytelling.

Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.

Experience using AI tools for content creation and marketing workflows.

Portfolio Requirement

Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing:

Social media accounts managed

Post designs and creatives

Reels and video content

Content calendars or strategies (if available)

Growth results achieved for previous clients

Any relevant case studies or campaign examples

Someone who can function as an extended member of our team and take complete ownership of a client’s social media presence, from planning and content creation to execution, engagement, and growth.
