About HyreSpot

HyreSpot is a technology-driven HR hiring platform designed to connect employers, candidates and recruitment professionals through a structured digital hiring ecosystem.

Our growth strategy is driven significantly through a Channel Partner business model, enabling recruitment and business professionals to build and expand HyreSpot's presence across different markets.

We are looking for a highly experienced Vice President – Business Development to take complete ownership of business expansion across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

This is a critical and urgent leadership position for an accomplished business leader with the ability to build markets, develop strategic partnerships, lead large sales teams and deliver substantial revenue growth.

Position Overview

The Vice President – Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing HyreSpot's South India business growth strategy.

The role will have significant responsibility for:

Revenue growth
Channel Partner acquisition
Market expansion
Sales team leadership
Strategic partnerships
Territory development
Business performance
Partner productivity

The successful candidate must be a hands-on business leader capable of converting strategy into measurable commercial results.

This position is particularly suited to a senior professional who has spent significant time managing large territories, multi-state operations, channel networks, franchise networks or B2B business development functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. South India Business Development

Take overall responsibility for HyreSpot's business development across the five South Indian states.
Develop and execute state-wise and territory-wise growth strategies.
Identify high-potential cities, districts and emerging markets.
Establish revenue targets and business plans for each territory.
Build a sustainable business pipeline for long-term growth.
Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and new revenue channels.

2. Channel Partner Expansion

Lead the acquisition and development of HyreSpot Channel Partners.
Create strategies for expanding the Channel Partner network across South India.
Identify potential business partners and evaluate their suitability.
Develop partner acquisition and onboarding strategies.
Build strong professional relationships with key partners.
Improve partner activation, productivity and revenue contribution.
Develop strategies to increase partner retention and engagement.

3. Revenue & Sales Leadership

Take complete ownership of regional revenue and business development targets.
Drive monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance.
Develop sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
Monitor sales pipeline, conversion rates and revenue forecasts.
Identify performance gaps and implement corrective measures.
Build a consistent and scalable revenue-generation model.

4. Team Leadership

Lead, mentor and develop senior and regional Business Development teams.
Establish clear KRAs, KPIs and performance expectations.
Build a strong target-oriented sales culture.
Conduct regular performance reviews and business meetings.
Develop future sales leaders within the organization.
Improve team productivity, accountability and market coverage.

5. Market Expansion

Identify new cities and territories for HyreSpot's expansion.
Develop entry strategies for new markets.
Analyse market potential, competition and customer requirements.
Establish regional business development plans.
Recommend new commercial opportunities to the management.
Ensure effective execution of expansion plans.

6. Strategic Business Planning

Prepare annual and quarterly South India business plans.
Develop revenue forecasts and expansion projections.
Establish state-level and territory-level performance targets.
Review business performance against planned objectives.
Present strategic recommendations and performance reports to senior management.
Support the development of long-term business growth strategies.

7. Partner Performance Management

Establish systems to monitor Channel Partner performance.
Track partner acquisition, activation, productivity and revenue.
Identify underperforming territories and partners.
Develop improvement plans to increase partner performance.
Maintain strong relationships with high-value partners.
Ensure consistent communication between HyreSpot and the Channel Partner network.

8. Sales Process & Reporting

Develop structured processes for lead generation, partner acquisition and conversion.
Establish effective sales reporting mechanisms.
Ensure CRM and sales data are maintained accurately.
Monitor sales funnel performance.
Provide regular MIS and business performance reports.
Use business data to improve sales effectiveness and decision-making.

Candidate ProfileMandatory Experience

20+ years of overall professional experience in Business Development, Sales, Channel Sales, Strategic Sales, Business Expansion or related functions.
15+ years of senior leadership experience preferred, particularly in managing large sales or business development operations.
Proven experience managing multi-state or regional business operations.
Demonstrated track record of achieving significant revenue and business growth.
Strong experience in building and managing Channel Partner, Franchise, Dealer, Distribution or Partner-led business models.
Experience leading large sales/business development teams.
Strong commercial and strategic business understanding.
Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
