About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, confident, and highly motivated Business Development Executive to support outreach, partnerships, and lead generation initiatives for a leading higher education and career advancement ecosystem.

The role involves representing industry-oriented learning and upskilling programs offered through our upGrad Learning Center and building relationships with colleges, universities, training institutes, corporates, and referral partners.

This is a field-based role and is ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting people, conducting outreach activities, building partnerships, organizing seminars, and generating growth opportunities through on-ground engagement.

The selected candidate will play a key role in expanding awareness, developing partnerships, generating student leads, and strengthening the presence of upGrad programs across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Institution Outreach

Visit colleges, universities, coaching centers, training institutes, and educational organizations.
Meet Principals, Placement Officers, Career Counselors, and Department Heads.
Establish partnerships for student engagement activities.
Coordinate career guidance sessions, seminars, and workshops.
Generate student leads and referrals.

Business Development & Lead Generation

Identify and develop new lead sources.
Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups.
Promote education and career development programs to prospective learners.
Generate qualified leads through field activities and networking.

Partnership Development

Develop relationships with coaching centers, training institutes, education consultants, and other referral partners.
Explore collaboration opportunities that support student acquisition and brand awareness.
Maintain strong relationships with existing partners.

Corporate Outreach

Visit companies and corporate offices to explore employee upskilling and professional development opportunities.
Build relationships with HR and Learning & Development teams.
Support corporate engagement initiatives.

Events & Activations

Represent the organization at education fairs, career fairs, seminars, workshops, and promotional events.
Conduct on-ground promotional activities and awareness campaigns.
Support local marketing initiatives and outreach programs.

Reporting & Coordination

Maintain records of daily visits, meetings, and leads generated.
Submit regular activity reports.
Coordinate with the counselling team for lead follow-up and admissions support.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

1–4 years of experience in:
Business Development
Field Sales
Education Sales
EdTech
Student Recruitment
Marketing & Promotions
Relationship Management

Fresh graduates with exceptional communication skills and a strong willingness to learn may also apply.

Skills Required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable conducting field visits and travelling locally.
Self-motivated and target-driven.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline.
Own vehicle preferred.
Prior experience in education, training, or service industries will be an advantage.
