Urgent Opening Sr. Accountants

Job Details

Work Location: Rama Platina, 405, Sinhgad Rd, opp. P. L. Despande Garden, Sarita Vihar, Parvati, Pune, Maharashtra 411030
Pune Shift: 10:00 to 7:00 PM IST
Education: B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance
Experience: Strong experience in accounting operations, mainly Record to Report
Work Location: In person(only 2nd & 4th Saturday WFH)

Job description

Role & responsibilities

The role of a Sr. Accountant is to ensure that the tasks assigned are completed on time, accurately and completely.

.Financial Reporting & MIS

Preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly, and annual MIS reports, financial statements, and variance reports for management review.
Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for manufacturing and operational activities.
Monitoring plant-wise expenses and supporting profitability analysis.

3.Banking

Liaison with banks for loan documentation, working capital limits.
Ensuring timely submission of export/import documents and compliance with RBI regulations.

4.Statutory Compliance & Taxation

Preparation and timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation) including pharma-specific input tax credit monitoring.
Handling Income Tax compliances, TDS returns, and coordination for assessments.
Ensuring compliance with PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other labor-related statutory requirements.
Preparation of monthly statutory compliance status reports for management.

5.Audit & Assessments

Handling statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and coordination with auditors.
Supporting GST, Income Tax, PF, and other statutory assessments with proper documentation.
Ensuring audit readiness through proper record maintenance and reconciliation.

6.Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

Vendor onboarding and master data management as per company SOPs.
Processing vendor invoices for raw materials, packing materials, utilities, and services.
Performing vendor reconciliations, GRN matching, and timely payment processing.
Coordination with procurement and stores for discrepancy resolution.

7. Accounting & Documentation

Maintaining accurate accounting records in Tally/ERP in compliance with accounting standards.
Proper documentation, filing, and record retention as per pharma regulatory and audit requirements.
Supporting internal controls and SOP adherence.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of pharma manufacturing *& pharma Engg accounting, statutory compliances, and export-import documentation.

Knowledge Required

4-6yrs experience with MS Excel (advanced functions preferred) and Tally/Zoho.
Good understanding of GST, Income Tax, and labor laws applicable to pharmaceutical companies.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across departments.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
