Service Manager

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Department: Service & Technical Support
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our technical service operations and ensure exceptional customer support across India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the service team, improving service efficiency, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring timely installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machines.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a customer-first mindset. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing field service operations while continuously improving service quality and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the service department, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and breakdown support activities.
Supervise and mentor field service engineers, providing technical guidance and performance coaching.
Ensure customer complaints are resolved promptly while maintaining high service standards.
Monitor service KPIs, response time, turnaround time (TAT), first-time fix rate, and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with the Sales, Spare Parts, and Technical teams to deliver seamless customer support.
Develop preventive maintenance programs and annual service plans for customers.
Ensure proper documentation of service reports, machine history, warranty claims, and customer records.
Manage AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) activities and identify opportunities for service business growth.
Maintain spare parts planning and inventory coordination to minimize machine downtime.
Conduct technical training programs for customers and internal service engineers.
Prepare monthly service MIS, team performance reports, and operational updates for management.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and service procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in service operations, technical support, or after-sales service.
At least 3–5 years of experience leading a service team.
Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, automation systems, or manufacturing equipment.
Experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize service activities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service reporting tools.
Willingness to travel for customer visits whenever required.
