Full job description

We are looking for an experienced US Accountant with a strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles and hands-on experience supporting U.S.-based clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work directly with a U.S. CPA firm and develop a long-term career in public accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform bookkeeping and accounting services for U.S. clients.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare accounting workpapers and supporting schedules.
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Support tax preparation and compliance processes.
Communicate professionally with team members and clients.
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with U.S. accounting clients.
Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Experience using QuickBooks Online is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA, CA, ACCA, EA, or candidates pursuing professional certifications.
Experience working in a CPA firm or public accounting environment.
Knowledge of U.S. payroll processing.
Experience with tax preparation support for Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
Familiarity with Xero, Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, and other cloud-based accounting tools.

Work Schedule

Full-Time Remote Position
Must be available for overlap with U.S. business hours
