Assistant Banquet Manager – HotelJob Summary

The Assistant Banquet Manager supports the Banquet Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing all banquet functions, meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events. The role ensures smooth service operations, high guest satisfaction, effective team coordination, and adherence to hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Banquet Manager in managing daily banquet operations and events.
Supervise and coordinate banquet staff before, during, and after functions.
Ensure proper setup of banquet halls, meeting rooms, dining areas, and event spaces according to function requirements.
Coordinate with the Sales, Events, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office departments to ensure seamless event execution.
Review function sheets, event orders, menus, seating plans, and special guest requirements.
Brief banquet staff regarding event details, service standards, timings, and responsibilities.
Monitor food and beverage service to ensure quality, presentation, and timely delivery.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements professionally and promptly.
Ensure proper service standards and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory, equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen, and other banquet supplies.
Assist with staff scheduling, duty allocation, training, and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, hygiene standards, food safety procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Monitor banquet setup, service flow, breakdown, and storage after each function.
Assist with controlling operational costs, minimizing wastage, and maintaining departmental budgets.
Coordinate with vendors and external service providers when required.
Prepare operational reports and provide feedback to the Banquet Manager.
Support the Banquet Manager in achieving departmental revenue and guest satisfaction targets.
Act as the Banquet Manager in their absence when required.
