A Snapshot of Your Day

The Technical Sales Manager – Marine & Ports will lead the growth of Siemens Energy's Marine & Ports business in India. The role is accountable for achieving annual Order Intake, Gross Margin, and Receivables targets across both New Build and Service businesses.

The incumbent will lead strategic customer engagement, technical solution selling, business development, and commercial negotiations while managing the Marine Service organization to ensure customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.

How You'll Make an Impact (Technical Sales Manager – Marine & Ports, TI EAD SES, India)

Own and deliver annual Order Intake (OI) targets across both New Build and Service businesses.
Develop and execute the Marine & Ports business strategy to achieve profitable and sustainable growth.
Identify, qualify, and capture strategic opportunities across commercial marine, ports, offshore, inland waterways, and defence sectors.
Lead the complete sales cycle, including customer engagement, solution development, commercial negotiations, risk management, and contract closure.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with shipyards, shipowners, port authorities, EPC contractors, consultants, defence organizations, and government agencies.
Develop and lead the Marine Service organization, driving customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and lifecycle service growth.
Collaborate with Engineering, Proposal Management, Commercial, Finance, Project Execution, Service, and Global Product teams to deliver competitive customer solutions.
Ensure robust pipeline management, accurate forecasting, CRM discipline, and compliance with Siemens Energy sales governance and risk management processes.
Represent Siemens Energy at customer meetings, industry forums, exhibitions, and technical conferences.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Order Intake (OI): Deliver annual Order Intake targets across New Build and Service businesses.
Gross Margin: Achieve targeted profitability through effective commercial management and pricing.
Receivables Management: Ensure timely collections and healthy cash flow.
Pipeline & Forecast Accuracy: Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline and accurate sales forecasts.
Service Business Growth: Expand lifecycle service revenues through AMCs, modernization, retrofits, upgrades, and digital offerings.
Customer Satisfaction: Build long-term customer relationships and deliver exceptional customer experience.
People Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performing Marine Sales & Service team through coaching, performance management, and talent development.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or equivalent. or MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.
10 years of experience in Marine, Ports, Offshore, Naval, Defence, or Industrial Electrification businesses.
Proven experience in technical solution selling, business development, and strategic account management.
Good understanding of marine electrical systems, propulsion, automation, power distribution, and digital solutions.
Experience working with shipyards, ports, naval organizations, shipowners, or EPC contractors is preferred.
Experience leading customer-facing sales and service teams is highly desirable.
