Position: Restaurant Manager

Location: Bharuch, Gujarat

Industry: Hospitality / Food & Beverage

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 2-5 years in restaurant or hospitality management

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our multi-cuisine restaurant in Bharuch. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage restaurant operations while ensuring excellent food quality, service standards, guest satisfaction, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
Ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen, service, billing, housekeeping, and other departments.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and service.
Ensure the restaurant is adequately staffed and operationally ready during all shifts.
Monitor table turnover, service speed, and overall guest experience.
Handle opening and closing procedures and ensure proper cash and operational controls.

Team Management

Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate restaurant staff.
Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance, leave, and shift allocation.
Conduct regular briefings and training sessions for service and operational staff.
Maintain discipline, grooming, punctuality, and professional conduct.
Build a positive and high-performance team culture.

Guest Experience

Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high guest satisfaction.
Personally handle customer complaints, feedback, and special requests professionally.
Develop strong relationships with regular customers and corporate/local clientele.
Ensure a welcoming, clean, and comfortable dining environment.

Sales & Financial Management

Monitor daily sales, expenses, food costs, and operational costs.
Work towards achieving monthly sales and profitability targets.
Control wastage, pilferage, and unnecessary expenses.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchase/store teams.
Ensure proper billing, cash handling, discounts, complimentary items, and settlements.
Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly operational reports.

Food & Beverage Operations

Coordinate closely with the Chef and kitchen team to maintain consistency in food quality and portion standards.
Monitor food preparation, storage, hygiene, and food safety practices.
Ensure availability of menu items and communicate effectively regarding 86’d/out-of-stock items.
Monitor customer feedback on food quality and coordinate corrective actions.

Hygiene & Compliance

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards.
Maintain proper cleaning schedules and sanitation practices.
Ensure staff follow grooming and hygiene standards.
Maintain required operational records and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
2-5 years of relevant experience in restaurant management or hospitality.
Experience managing a multi-cuisine restaurant will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service standards, inventory, and cost control.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good knowledge of POS systems, MS Office, and basic restaurant reporting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
Customer-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
Fluency in English and Hindi is preferred; knowledge of Gujarati will be an advantag

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
