Full job description

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant HR Manager to support and oversee the Human Resources operations of a growing retail organization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, and statutory compliance, with the ability to support business objectives while ensuring a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition for retail and corporate positions.
Assist in manpower planning and workforce allocation across retail outlets.
Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and organizational guidelines.
Manage employee onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, and exit formalities.
Coordinate performance appraisal processes and employee development initiatives.
Drive employee engagement, retention, and welfare programs to improve workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
Oversee attendance management, leave administration, payroll inputs, and HR documentation.
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution professionally.
Maintain employee records, HRMS data, and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
Prepare HR reports, MIS, recruitment metrics, and workforce analytics for management.
Support the HR Manager in implementing strategic HR initiatives and organizational development programs.
Coordinate training and development activities to enhance employee skills and productivity.
Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing requirements and business needs.

Requirements

Qualification: MBA in Human Resource Management (HR) or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the Retail industry.
Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee lifecycle management, and labor law compliance.
Experience in recruitment, payroll coordination, attendance management, and employee engagement.
Ability to manage multiple HR functions with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in HRMS software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
