Job Description: Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Outbound

Location: Remote (India)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 2+ Years

Compensation

Fixed Salary: ₹40,000 per month
Performance Incentive: 3-5% of revenue generated from deals successfully closed through your qualified pipeline (subject to company incentive policy). Deals range from $2500-$8000

Tools: Should be well versed with Apollo, Instantly, Smartlead, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc (This is a must)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to own our outbound lead generation engine from end to end.

This is not a traditional appointment-setting role. You will be responsible for identifying the right companies, finding decision-makers, building high-quality prospect lists, launching outbound campaigns, qualifying prospects, and consistently booking sales meetings for the founder.

You will work closely with the founder to continuously improve our outbound systems and eventually help build a scalable sales development process.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Research & Prospecting

Identify companies that match our target customer profile.
Research decision-makers including Founders, CEOs, CMOs, Marketing Directors, and Heads of Growth.
Build accurate prospect lists using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Google, and other research platforms.
Continuously discover new prospecting opportunities and market segments.

Lead Enrichment

Collect and verify contact information.
Research company information and decision-makers.
Add relevant personalization notes for outreach.
Maintain accurate and organized lead databases.
Ensure CRM and prospect data remain clean and up to date.

Email Outreach

Own the complete email outbound channel.

Responsibilities include:

Building outbound campaigns.
Uploading and managing lead lists.
Email verification.
Managing sending domains and inboxes.
Monitoring email deliverability.
Scheduling campaigns.
Creating follow-up sequences.
Tracking campaign performance.
Maintaining healthy sending practices.

LinkedIn Outreach

Own LinkedIn outbound activities including:

Prospect research.
Sending personalized connection requests.
Follow-up messaging.
Building conversations with decision-makers.
Managing outreach sequences.
Moving qualified prospects toward discovery calls.

Lead Qualification

Engage with interested prospects to determine whether they are a strong fit.

You should be able to:

Understand business requirements.
Identify buying intent.
Qualify prospects against predefined criteria.
Handle basic objections.
Decide whether a meeting should be scheduled.

Appointment Setting

Schedule qualified discovery calls.
Coordinate calendars.
Send confirmations and reminders.
Follow up with prospects when required.
Ensure meetings are properly documented.

CRM & Pipeline Management

Keep CRM updated at all times.
Track every stage of the sales pipeline.
Record conversations, follow-ups, and meeting outcomes.
Maintain complete visibility into outbound activities.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Provide regular reports on:

Leads researched
Contacts enriched
Emails launched
LinkedIn outreach completed
Positive replies
Qualified meetings booked
Campaign performance
Key learnings and recommendations

Continuously look for ways to improve outbound performance through experimentation and process optimization.

Required Skills

2+ years of experience in B2B lead generation, SDR, or appointment-setting roles.
Strong experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Experience with Apollo or similar prospecting tools.
Experience managing cold email outreach.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong internet research and analytical skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and take ownership.
Comfortable working with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling to businesses in the US, UK, or Canada.
Experience working in a marketing agency, SaaS company, or B2B services business.
Familiarity with tools such as Instantly or Smartlead is an advantage.
