We are seeking an experienced and visionary Global Head - Presales and Solutions for our Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) business. This is a senior leadership role that plays a pivotal role in shaping our global strategy and strengthening our position as a leading provider of cutting-edge CIS solutions.
Role Overview:
The Global Head - Presales and Solutions is responsible for leading and managing a global team of Pre-Sales and Solutions Architects. This individual will drive the development of differentiated solutions, lead the design of winning proposals, and ensure compelling pricing and defence presentations to customers. The role demands a highly experienced leader with exceptional technical knowledge of Cloud and IT infrastructure, strong business acumen, and the ability to drive AI initiatives within CIS operations.
This position requires extensive global customer experience and the flexibility to travel frequently across the globe and within India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, manage, and motivate a high-performing global team of Pre-Sales and Solutions Architects.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Build and mentor the team to ensure they have the skills and tools necessary to meet organizational goals.
- Pre-Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Drive pre-sales strategies that align with the organization’s growth objectives and CIS market trends.
- Develop winning proposals, pricing models, and defense presentations that effectively articulate UST’s value proposition.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Design and develop innovative and differentiated CIS solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of AI-driven initiatives to enhance CIS operations and customer outcomes.
- Work closely with technology partners to stay ahead of the curve in cloud and IT infrastructure trends.
- Conduct high-impact customer presentations showcasing UST’s CIS capabilities and solutions.
- Establish strong relationships with global customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their business challenges and objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, influencing their IT strategies and positioning UST as a preferred partner.
- Lead and participate in strategic large deals, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive deal closure.
- Ensure alignment of proposed solutions with customer needs, business outcomes, and budget constraints.
- Oversee contract negotiations and ensure adherence to UST’s risk management practices.
- Market Insights & Thought Leadership:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in cloud, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Represent UST at industry events, webinars, and conferences as a thought leader.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property (IP) and reusable assets for the CIS practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience:
- Over 20 years of experience in Pre-Sales and Solutions for Cloud Infrastructure Services in a similar or larger IT services organization.
- Proven experience in managing strategic large deals and working on managed service engagements.
- Extensive global customer engagement experience.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep technical knowledge of Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., networking, storage, cybersecurity).
- Expertise in leveraging AI and automation within CIS operations.
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong track record of leading and managing large, diverse, and globally distributed teams.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and grow talent within an organization.
- Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of commercial models, pricing strategies, and deal structuring.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex solutions effectively.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel globally and within India, as required.
