International Sales Executive – Food Products Exports

Company: MGE Auto Private Limited
Location: Ludhiana, Punjab
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented International Sales Executive – Food Products Exports to develop international business and manage overseas customers across global markets.

The candidate should have prior experience in exporting food products, agricultural commodities, FMCG products or packaged foods. The role involves identifying overseas buyers, generating enquiries, preparing quotations, negotiating commercial terms and converting international leads into confirmed export orders.

Candidates with an existing network of importers, distributors, wholesalers, supermarkets or food-service buyers will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new customers in international markets.
Generate export enquiries through B2B portals, email campaigns, trade directories, exhibitions, LinkedIn and other sources.
Contact overseas importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and food-service companies.
Handle international customer enquiries through email, telephone, WhatsApp and video meetings.
Understand customer requirements relating to product specifications, packaging, labelling and quantities.
Prepare quotations, proforma invoices and commercial offers.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, delivery schedules and order quantities.
Follow up with prospective buyers and convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and generate repeat business.
Coordinate with purchase, production, quality, packaging, accounts, logistics and dispatch teams.
Monitor order processing and ensure timely preparation and shipment of goods.
Assist with export documentation and shipping formalities.
Coordinate documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, health certificates and other product-specific certificates.
Follow up on advance payments, letters of credit and outstanding customer payments.
Research new countries, buyer segments and product opportunities.
Monitor competitor pricing, international demand and market trends.
Maintain customer records, enquiry reports, follow-up schedules and sales reports.
Participate in domestic and international exhibitions, trade fairs and buyer meetings when required.
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual export sales targets.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in international sales or export marketing of food products.
Experience dealing with overseas importers, distributors, wholesalers or retail buyers.
Good understanding of food-export procedures and international trade.
Knowledge of Incoterms, international payment terms and export documentation.
Familiarity with food-product packaging, labelling and shelf-life requirements.
Good written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong negotiation, presentation and customer-handling abilities.
Ability to independently manage international enquiries and customer follow-ups.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email communication and CRM or lead-management systems.
Willingness to travel for exhibitions and customer meetings when required.
