Purpose of the position

Maintaining and Developing New Business through Sales

Developing New Business and maintaining the existing customers.
Alignment with Trade Lane & Verticals Head for increasing the WIN ratio of business
Achieve and Exceed the Individual Budget and KPI
Focus on generating Sales lead for Sales colleagues
Reporting Sales Activities in CRM and to Sales Manager on daily basis

Key Tasks

Sales Activities

Build and develop strong relationships with customers.
Procuring rates from the product & sending rate quote proposal for the enquiries for all local selling businesses (Branch/Field Sales/Corporate Sales/KAM)
Preparing quotation in cargo wise 1 & ensuring auto rating for the client rate
Sales coordinator / support fixing meetings and other supporting activities
Penetrate Deep Sales opportunity from all customers
Generate business from sales lead received from Product heads, TLMs & IV Heads.
Updating Sales manager with report through CRM on daily basis
Preparing performance reports on monthly basis
Continue following up with customers on rates quoted, negotiate and secure the business.
Sharing complete instructions to operations, customer service for handling shipment
Set up credit facility for customer when required and obtain necessary approval from HO following the process.
To work with team on combined focus towards product and trade lane development.
Any other relevant job is assigned from time to time.

Relationship Development

Development of Interpersonal relationships among other departments’ staff like operations, customer service, Key Accounts and Finance staff.

Decision Making Authority

Decision authority as delegated by the Regional Sales Manager/ Manager - Sales, in accordance with DSV regulations

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

Skills & Competencies

Skills/Knowledge

Must have fair overview knowledge on product and services offered.
Smart in selling and committed to the job.
Familiar with buy rates, pricing policies, routing, carrier services and frequencies.
Must be familiar with geographical knowledge on global countries.
Strong enough to face resistance, able to take pressure and handle customers during crises.

Competency

Good English Communication Skills
High competency in Computer knowledge.
Open minded and outgoing personality with good etiquette

Educational background / Work experience

Minimum working experience of 2 Years in Sales in the field of Freight Forwarding.
Minimum Graduate in any discipline from reputed University.
Master’s degree in management will be added advantage.

Language Skills

Fluent in English (other languages depending on the location)

Computer Literacy

MS Office skills and good knowledge regarding IT systems
