About us

CherishX is India's experiential gifting and celebration brand. We design and execute birthday decorations, anniversary setups, proposals and private celebrations across 15+ cities including Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune. We run a mix of in-house warehouse teams and vendor partners, so our workforce spans office roles, warehouse staff and field decorators.

About the role

This is a standalone HR role. You will be the entire HR and admin function, reporting directly to the founders. Hiring a decorator in Hyderabad, running payroll on Keka, closing a senior tech role, sorting a warehouse AMC. All of it sits with you.

What you'll own

Hiring

Blue collar hiring at volume: decorators, warehouse executives, drivers and city execution staff across 15+ cities. Sourcing via WorkIndia, Apna, referrals, local agencies and walk-ins.
White collar hiring: tech, marketing, design, sales, category and operations. Sourcing, screening, scheduling founder interviews, offer rollout and closure.
Seasonal ramp-ups. New Year, Valentine's and festive peaks need staffing plans locked a month in advance.

Payroll and attendance

Full payroll cycle on Keka: attendance capture, leave management, salary processing, payslips, reimbursements, full and final settlements.
Statutory compliance: PF, ESIC, professional tax, TDS, gratuity, minimum wages and state-wise Shops & Establishments requirements across our operating cities.
Attendance discipline for field and warehouse teams, where shift patterns differ from office staff.

Admin

Office and warehouse admin: facilities, housekeeping, security, utilities, vendor contracts, AMCs.
Asset management: laptops, phones, uniforms, ID cards. Issue at joining, recovery at exit.
Travel, city visits and coordination with city leads on local admin needs.

Engagement and culture

Onboarding and induction for both office and field staff.
Engagement calendar: birthdays, festivals, team events, recognition.
Regular one-on-ones and pulse checks. Finding out why people are leaving before they leave.

Training and performance

SOP-based training for decorators and warehouse teams on setup quality, safety and customer interaction.
Functional induction for office roles.
Appraisal cycle: KRA setting, mid-year and annual reviews, increment and incentive workings.

Policy and documentation

Writing and maintaining HR policies: leave, attendance, travel, expense, code of conduct.
Employee records, offer letters, contracts, confirmations, warning letters, exits.
POSH committee setup and compliance.

Who we're looking for

MBA or PGDM in HR from a reputed institute. This is a firm requirement.
Minimum 2 years of full-time HR experience post-MBA.
Hands-on with Keka or a comparable HRMS (GreytHR, Zoho People, Darwinbox). You should be able to configure it, not just operate it.
Payroll exposure with an understanding of PF, ESIC, PT, gratuity and Shops & Establishments basics.
Some experience hiring blue collar or field staff. This is roughly half the job and it works nothing like white collar hiring.
Fluent in Hindi and English. You'll speak to a decorator in Kanpur and a senior engineer in Bangalore on the same day.
Strong with spreadsheets and comfortable figuring out systems without hand-holding.
High ownership. There is no HR team above you or below you.

Good to have

Multi-city services, D2C, quick commerce, hospitality or events background.
Exposure to contract staffing or gig workforce management.
Experience at a 50 to 300 employee company.

Details

Location: CherishX Headoffice, 2/7 WHS-2 Kirti Nagar, New Delhi. On-site.
Working days: Monday to Friday, plus alternate Saturdays. Sundays and 2nd and 4th Saturdays off.
Salary: ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 per month
Reports to: Founders
Joining: Immediate
