Job Description – Business Development Manager (BDM) – Domestic IT Staffing & Recruitment

Position: Business Development Manager (BDM)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth for our Domestic IT Staffing & Recruitment division. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, and achieving revenue targets within the IT recruitment industry.

The candidate must possess an existing network of active clients, excellent relationship management skills, and experience leading a small business development team.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, acquire, and develop new business opportunities for Domestic IT Staffing services.
Leverage existing client relationships to generate immediate business opportunities.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients across various industries.
Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
Own the complete sales cycle—from lead generation and client meetings to proposal submission, negotiation, and closure.
Understand client hiring requirements and coordinate with recruitment teams for timely delivery.
Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and rate cards with clients.
Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Manage key accounts and identify opportunities for account growth.
Work closely with delivery and recruitment teams to ensure high client satisfaction.
Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and business pipeline updates for management.
Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and hiring demands in the Domestic IT staffing market.

Team Management Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of 2–5 Business Development Executives/Account Managers.
Set individual and team sales targets and monitor performance.
Guide the team in client acquisition, relationship management, and business expansion.
Conduct regular reviews, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.

Mandatory Skills

5–8 years of experience in Domestic IT Staffing/IT Recruitment Business Development.
Proven experience in acquiring new clients and growing existing accounts.
Must have an active portfolio of existing clients that can generate immediate staffing opportunities.
Strong knowledge of the Domestic IT Recruitment market.
Excellent client acquisition, negotiation, and account management skills.
Experience handling permanent staffing, contract staffing, or contract-to-hire requirements.
Strong understanding of IT technologies and recruitment processes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in preparing proposals, rate cards, and commercial agreements.
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting.

Required Experience

5–8 years in Business Development within an IT Staffing/Recruitment agency.
Experience managing a team of 2–5 members.
Demonstrated success in achieving revenue and business growth targets.
Strong experience working with domestic clients across India.
Established network of hiring managers, HR leaders, or procurement contacts is highly preferred.
